Response: Oh, thank you so much for this warm and kind rating and response (with a haiku no less)!
Response: I'm *so* glad you liked it all : ) And thanks for this great feedback: your kind words really made me smile!
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the photos! Walgreens printed the photo postcards I sent, but I think they're phasing out that size of card (which is a bummer). I've also tried the photo postcards from Walmart (which can be hit-or-miss on quality) and Moo.com (which are high quality but pricier). I hope that helps!
Response: Thank you so much for these kind words--they made my day! And, of course, I'm so happy you enjoyed the booklets!
Response: Yes, it was a member of the orchid family! One of our neighbors knows a lot about Arkansas wildflowers, and she was really impressed that I came across one. It's the first year either Chris or I had seen them, so I'm wondering if they're fickle bloomers or if we'd just not noticed them before because they are so small and delicate.
Response: I couldn't decide which one to send so I thought I'd send both! :)
Response: Thanks so much, Tearryn! I'm not a trained or technically clued-in photographer, so for me it's lots of trial and error as I learn how to hold my camera in such a way to catch the play of color and light as if the water or a wet window were a kind of canvas. It brings an element of chance to the enterprise--I'm never really sure if I'm going to "get" something or not....
Response: Oh, thank you very much for these kinds words, Lisa!
Response: Thank you for the warm reception of my crossed letter--it was such a fun experience to write! And, yes, it would be lovely to hear back from you, but (of course) no pressure....
Response: Thanks for this great feedback! It was such a pleasure to write to you, and to choose cards and strategies to share. The first week back to school is always nuts--you will deserve a restful weekend ahead!
Response: Thanks, Bonnie! I use winkflash.com to have my photos printed as postcards--it's super easy (and addictive). To tinker with my photos digitally (as I did for the bird postcard), I use Photoshop Elements. Have fun, and happy swapping!
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the photos & quotation! I upload my photos & have them printed as postcards at winkflash.com. The matte finish came out very nicely I think....
Response: Hurray for old cemeteries & for photographers who haunt them!
Response: I'm so glad I chose that one to send to you--and thanks for the kind words!
Response: Thank you very much, Dana, for your kind words!! I'm glad you like the sand picture--it's a quiet image, but it's one I keep coming back to myself....
Response: That's a crazy coincidence, for sure.... I just wrote a new card for you that'll go out on Monday. If you receive(d) that card from someone else, as well, then we'll know that the universe is trying to tell us something--but what?
Response: You're so welcome, Meri--and I mailed a second card at the same time, so they must have gotten separated in their voyage, but it should reach you soon!
Response: Thanks for the rating, and I'm glad you enjoyed the postcard! If you want to have your own photos printed as postcards, there are a couple of good sites I've found over the years. I use winkflash.com (the least expensive), but in the past I've also tried cafepress.com and moo.com. You just digitally upload your pictures, and they do the printing (it's really fun). Have a good day!
Response: Thank you, Jenny! I'm glad it got to you relatively smoothly & quickly; I was worried that the strike might hold things up.
Response: You're welcome! It was a pleasure writing to you, and I feel grateful to have had you as a kind reader on the receiving end. (I hope both envelopes of postcards have arrived on your end by now, but if one of them doesn't make it, I hope you'll let me know.)
Response: I'm so glad you liked it!
Response: Thank you so much for your kind words; it is always a pleasure to send something to you!
Response: You're so welcome. It felt so good to write about my childhood that I feel like I should be thanking YOU instead!
Response: You're so welcome--I'm glad the photos have a good new home! Thank you!
Response: When I saw that you were my partner, I immediately thought of that postcard--I had bought a couple of them the last time I was in Death Valley, and I was worried that I didn't have one left to send you. But I was relieved to find that I had one more, and I'm so glad to know that it really was the right card to send to you!
Response: I'm glad that the card arrived so quickly & that you like the photo! I just upload my photos at winkflash.com & they can print them as postcards, which is really fun.... See you in future swaps!
Response: Thank you! I'm so glad that you like them....
Response: I'm glad you liked the card! Sometimes I've used moo, but for the card I sent you I used winkflash.com & I really like the quality of card they produce. Thanks again for the kind words!
Response: Thanks, Starwatcher! It was a pleasure to send my thoughts & accumulated quotations your way!
Response: Thank you! It really made me smile to be called a good finder.... And I'm definitely going to pass your hugs on to my mother!
Response: Thanks for the rating & the heart! I love taking close-ups because they can be disorienting (or re-orienting?) in a good way: you're not sure what you're looking at, then you find out what it is and--bam--a new perspective!
Response: Thanks! I had that card printed by winkflash.com, though I've also used the postcard printing at cafepress.com. Both services do a nice job of reproducing photos, I think!
Response: I'm so glad you liked the stamp! I used to carve into linoleum, but it was tough on my hand. Now I use rubber blocks (either Staedtler or Speedball brand), and it goes much more smoothly. I have really fond memories of doing potato carvings myself when I was young; I keep meaning to try it again as an adult!
Response: Hi, Lauren--Thanks for your kind words! My spouse grew up near Mays Landing, and when we drive from the Philadelphia airport to his parents' house we see signs for Rowan University.... I'll look forward to our swapping paths crossing again!
Response: Thanks for the kind words! I've been using winkflash.com to have my photos printed as postcards, though moo and cafepress can also do it.... I really like being able to share my photos via postcards--if you do give it a try, I think you'll enjoy it, too!
Response: I'm so glad you liked the jar with the quotations. I loved getting it ready, and I really hope you enjoy dipping into it daily!
Response: Yay! I'm glad it found a good home. Thank you so much for your enthusiastic response.
Response: Thanks; I'm glad you liked it! I send digital images to a printing company (winkflash.com) and they print them as postcards. I enjoy getting to share my photos this way....
Response: I've been getting my photos printed as postcards at winkflash.com. I like the quality of the prints, but recently they've been messing up my orders (sending too many of one card and not enough of others), so I'm going to try moo or cafepress for postcards next time.... And I'm really glad that you liked the card!
