I am a Christian wife and mother to a daughter age 32 & son age 29 along with his lovely wife. I am a new grandma to Zachary.
I love to crochet, quilt, create zentangle or fabric postcards, plastic canvas or felt christmas ornaments.
I have always want to learn to tat & have been studying online how to needle tat. I've found some tatting videos & have them posted on my pinterest account. So far I have learned the flower pendant & have been making earrings as Christmas presents for my 2 sisters, nieces & daughters. I still want to learn how to use a shuttle, but needle tatting is easier to start learning. If you tat, any helpful needle patterns will be nice.
My favorite colors are blue, green, grape purple, dark reds-jewel tone colors. Although I was born in August & my birthstone is peridot, I love the blue topaz of December. I love the blue/green combination.
I love to crochet & am looking for neat patterns to make for swaps. I love working with cotton yarns & threads. I have found some nice free patterns & have listed them on my pinterest account.
I have a quaker parrot& my daughter has a sun conure. I enjoy looking for bird print fabrics or bird embroidery/appligue patterns online
My favorite swaps are things that I can handmake to share. I mail things directly at the postoffice & try to send out as soon as the swap is assigned. I rate as soon as the mail arrives.

Currently working on crochet cotton dish cloths as gifts. Also working on some plastic canvas quilt block ornaments for gifts
PIecing quilt blocks & quilting. Currently working on a strippy string quilt, finished one strippy top & have started another, several scrap quilts & I love the star whimsy quilt from the book, Star Savvy lap from fat's. I have completed one top & will do two more for my two sisters using civil war reproductions.
My latest interest is wool applique & learning wool rug hooking. So far, I have only made sunflower, stars, snowmen & mitten ornaments. One of my favorite past times is hunting goodwill/thrift stores for 100 % wool skirts to take apart & then felt.
I love to make Christmas ornaments & use plastic canvas, wool felt, or crochet & in the future will also use some tatting.
I love to make table runners, bookmarks, doilies, coasters, drink glass cozies & snowflakes out of #10 crochet thread. I also use #3 crochet cotton thread & bamboo thread. Dishcloths using 100% cotton yarn, Scarves using Simply Soft yarn & amigurumis using any yarn.. Currently working on a ballerina mouse doll for my daughter-in-law's niece.
Fabric postcards, locker rug hooking, fabric twist bowls, plastic canvas Christmas ornaments/magnets, doll making.
