Description:

I love all the postcards I've been receiving these days, and wanted to get some more, and hopefully you all would like some more too!

I haven't seen a vocab swap yet, so let's give it a try. For this swap you are going to write a word with it's definition on the back. Try to find some fun and interesting new words. We can get fun postcards and increase our vocabulary! Sender's choice for the postcards. Store bought only, and send naked please! This is when you can use up all those extra fun cards you've been collecting.

Newbies are welcome since you have to start somewhere, but be sure you can commit to it. Also you need a 4.8 or higher, and no no-sends in the last month!

Have Fun and Happy Swapping!

a good place to get some neat words is if you subscribe to a word a day from merriam webster. They send you the greatest words, plus a sentence as an example, plus the definition. They also send a free word game a day, wich are fun too. I like this idea, and will put it on my watchlist!

Deb, This is a great idea. My younger daughter told me once, "I don't mean to hurt your feelings, Mama, but you're a geek." I think what she meant is that I was an English major. Same thing....

i just dug out my college art history text and had a hard time deciding on just a few words!

Well missxpistol, I am going to try to do it monthly, so keep those words handy for the next round!

Where do you all buy your post cards??

DebP 12/18/2008 #

I look for them everywhere. Lots of gas stations & truck stops have them, and all the tourist attractions and hotels, and museums, etc. We also have a couple bookstores and gift shops locally that have a variety of art cards and humourous cards, and just odd cards. Once you start looking for them, you will find them everywhere!
