I am a mom of a 10 year old girl (Jojo) and our little family of 3 live at the New Jersey shore (near Cape May). Also 1 dog and 1 hermit crab.

I enjoy listening to Public Radio. Since I was a kid, I have always loved sending and receiving mail & having pen pals. You can make someones day all by sending a simple card letting them know you are thinking of them. I am urging my daughter to pick up this habit! I have stacks of cards and letters back and forth from me and my Gram from the years past. They are one of my most treasured items along with my photographs.

I am involved with Postcrossing and I host a round robin FOOD & DRINK. I like modern, vintage & retro style postcards with my favorite themes: owls, castles, old hollywood movies/movie stars, anything re: California. Weird, quirky, interesting, any postcards related to art, artists, art museums, & your handmade creations are welcome additions to my collection. I also like surprise topics so please don't feel like I won't enjoy something because it isn't on my profile. I love to learn new things so I am open to new topics. The message on the card or letter means a lot also!! I'm anxious to read what you have taken the time to written.
I am a Girl Scout leader for my daughters Girl Scout troop! I love being involved in setting an example for the next generation of girls in the troop. It really does give them a solid base of confidence and the feeling that they can do anything if they work hard and set their mind to it! If you were involved with Scouts as a leader or in a troop I would love to hear about it and to share it with the troop.

It is amazing the people you meet on this site and lucikly have had positive experiences and met many interesting people. I am into older movies from the golden age, as opposed to the new movies. My favorite tv shows are mainly found on repeats these days or anything from BBC. I like British Mysteries (Rosemary & Thyme, Father Brown, Inspector Morse, Midsomer's Murder) & all things Ricky Gervais.

Favorite shows: mostly old reruns: Johnny Carson Show, Carol Burnett, Perry Mason, Matlock, Dick Van Dyke Show, Murder She Wrote, that 70's show, Mary Tyler Moore Show, Bob Newhart Show, Father Knows Best, Masterpiece Mystery

Themes that I gravitate towards: fox, polar bear, otters, tree of life, nature, butterfly, folklore, narwhals, paint, vintage or vintage repos, Alaska, vintage clothing & shoes, fascinators, tie dye & peace & love era, old Hollywood, old movie stars, California, classic writing, romance, stationary, postcards, pen pals, paper dolls, Kewpies, steampunk, 70's, Halloween & Christmas anytime of year, Lisa Frank, cameras, telephones. Postcards in any of those themes make me smile. I like gift tags, old library cards that were used in the back of the book to borrow library books...or any kind of industry paper like dry cleaning tags, etc. I am looking for a black pen with a very fine point, if you know where to find one please let me know I also like to see the quirky cartoon characters from your Country.

I love all things related to arts & crafts. My latest craft love is UV resin jewelry. I make cards & envelopes & junk journals, postcards, metal stamping jewelry, alcohol inks/mixed media, jewelry making & beading, painting. I am always trying something new with crafting and enjoy hearing about your latest crafting adventures or other projects!
