Hello :) I am a stay at home mom to a 3 year old boy and 4 month old girl living in Wilmington, NC. I love all kinds of crafts, and am pretty sure I have tried most at least once. Things i'd love to try next are letterpress, gocco print, and pottery. I've had my Etsy shop for almost 2 years, I make and sell woodburned and painted boxes (mostly tree themed) and paper items.
** I ALWAYS send out my swap packages...PLEASE contact me if you havent received anthing before rating, I will be more than happy to resend!**
I'm new to swapping, but saw a section like this on a few other profiles...
I'm kind of obsessed with paper, ephemera, and embellishments. I buy tons of things because i like the pattern or print, then don't want to use it for anything. I look for anything that has a vintage or antique feel, anything bird, text and handwriting (especially other than english).
I also LOVE rubber stamps, and if its something that I've never seen anywhere, thats even better.
I'm not really into cutesy things ( disney, winnie the pooh, etc), but an occasional cupcake print or sticker is great. I've actually gotten a little bit more into pink and "cute' stuff since having my daughter.
You can check out the items I have for sale in my Etsy shop to get an idea of what kind of style I like.
Jimmy Buffett, country (Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, George Strait, Toby Keith), anything old...I dont listen to much new music, although my 3 year old little boy really likes Lady Gaga and Britney Spears.
Woodburning, paper crafts (tags, notecards, decor), I have a sewing machine that I would love to eventually learn how to use, right now I'm clueless. My mom was an awesome seamstress, I always had smocked dresses and handmade clothes when I was little, I'd reallly like to learn how to do the same for my daughter.
I dont get to watch much TV these days, but some of my favorite shows are SouthLAnd, Real Housewives of ATL, NY, and the OC, 20/20 and Dateline, and I just started watching all the wedding shows on WE...I love David Tutera. I used to help do wedding flowers before I had our second child, I guess thats why I like wedding shows. :) Oh, and Dog the Bounty Hunter :) Got to go to one of his book signings this year and meet him and his family, I'm a dork, but it was AWESOME. My favorite TV show of all time would have to be Twin Peaks...I think I was around 12 when it was on TV, but I have LOVED it ever since, I love pretty much anything David Lynch does. He's awesome.
I have a new-found love for Kawaii :) But, there is no where around me to get anything :(. So...anything Kawaii is great, I dont know anything about characters or brands, so as long as its cute, I'll love it!
Vintage postcards/photos, especially the ones for National Parks, I love the artwork on them.
Postcards from anywhere! I have no preference as to how they are sent or if they are written on, dated, etc.
Japanese deco tape
Anything with a botanical theme
Really just anything "vintage-y", but I'm not into retro 80's type vintage.
I try to scrapbook for my kids (need more time!), so any scrapbook items that are boy/girl related are great!
Anything Cosmo Cricket or October Afternoon, I love, love, love ANYTHING they make.
I'm really not very picky when it comes to receiving handmade items...I'd love to get anything that someone has put time and thought into creating. :)
Please no religious/christian themed items.
Just in case anyone ever has anything laying around that my little boy might like :)...he loves anything having to do with trucks, cars, airplanes, etc..
