Comment: Where do I begin to tell you what an awesome job you did on this journal? I love how we left it open to each make it the way we felt comfortable because your style and mine are so different. I have no artistic talent and you have lots. Each page is so pretty where mine were not. You made me smile with the beginning and ending pictures and you made me cry with the poem about friends. I'm so happy that we decided to branch out and do something unfamiliar to each of us. It was fun and educational and I'll treasure yours always. I did have to look up Round Island Lighthouse, and found it to be in MI, and learned that it's a twin to a lighthouse I've been to at Twin Harbors, MN. That one of Biloxi Lighthouse is super pretty w/the sun setting, a cemetery card is right up my alley, and the Jeff Davis cards are a first I believe--so really a great swap for lucky me -- thx again!

The postage stickers didn't cover too much of the envelope (I was able to pull off the bit of one that was over Alissa's name on the back.) The ATC you made is so thoughtful. I love that we both put kitties on our envelopes, and the back of the envelope is very cool. I just learned about zentangle from seeing a swap about it and then googling because I didn't know what it meant. I like how it looks. The design and the colors you chose reminds me of when I was in elementary school and I could spend hours flipping through my parents' record albums just to look at all the "groovy" album art.

Comment: What a great swap--thanks so much! These are by far my most favorite Mississippi postcards I've received Debra, and I think the Sunken Trace card is my favorite all year on Swap-bot! As a history buff, this is exactly the type of card I love, and I have to admit I had never heard of it before and learned something new which is great. My imagination goes wild when I look at this card! What noises would you hear as you trecked along this route? At night especially! How often would you see others? What animals would you encounter? How would you locate food and water for a trip that could take 4 weeks?! If you ran across Native Americans, what type of outcomes could come of that? I'm off to do some reading on the web about Sunken Trace and also about Beauvoir as well. Oh-I also liked the stamp! I buy ones like that but always send them out as I'm a bit too stingy just to keep them unused. Thanks again-take care! Carol in Denver

Response: You need to go to www.stubbystampers.com , I know the owner of this company and they make their own stamps. Andy (Adrea) is her name. She's having a sale right now, only they do not use wood mounted anymore, just the rubber, you have to add your own cling or EZ mount to make it stick to a block, or else use double sided tape and remove it quickly or it wants to stick to the block. Thanks for the tons of extras (: don't give up on tatting. I think you will like shuttle tatting better than needle tatting. I like that everything fits in a ziplock baggie to be taken everywhere. I photocopy the instructions, find tiny scissors and put thread and shuttles in my bag and off I go (: it's not difficult once you get the basics down, You Can Do It! Hugs, Linda Russell

The inside one, if she is walking on top of us at night, we pull the tail and she automatically lays down to go to sleep! So glad the stamped image reminded you of Sid! My husband worked in Biloxi for a month soon after the back to back hurricanes, and he said it was a pretty coastal town. I think with those storms, Biloxi has had enough to last a lifetime. Take care. :)

It's kind of crazy, how basically New Orleans got all the media attention, and as bad as it was for them, their problem was due to the breaching of the levy system, MS was actually hit by Katrina. Our town was just devastated, as was all the coastal MS towns. Just hoping we never have another Katrina! I'm about 20 to 25 minutes from Biloxi. Thank you so much for the HEART!
