Then when we went to bed he didn't show up as usual and didn't come to the sound of a treat bag rattling. I started looking around the neighborhood and just when I thought he was gone forever... I glanced behind the chair I was sitting in (getting ready to have a huge cry)...and there he was, still hiding from all of the commotion of our moving stuff in! What a huge relief!
