Description:

Lately I have been doing a lot of art journals. I am now working on learning different embroidery stitches. I thought how wonderful it would be to combine my two passions.

For these swaps you will make 6" x6 " fabric pages. Each swap will have a embroidery fabric page prompt with a featured stitch.

My goal is to host at least ten of these so that we can all have enough to make a mini journal. I have only done a little bit of embroidery so I want fellow swappers with any skill level to join.

Round #2 swap: The featured stitch will be chain stitch. This stitch can be used as an outline stitch or worked in rows as a lacy filling. It is made by working a series of looped stitches together in a line. There are other variations of the chain stitch...feel free to incorporate any of them.

Prompt: Crazy quilt square or a printed fabric piece. Fill in a little or a lot. Add embellishments, or color in some areas. Be creative.

With these swap please feel free to use any other stitches but a part of the page must have the featured stitch. Make sure you sign work. Please feel to join even if you didn't participate in the previous round. Last round featured a stamped square with the satin stitch.

Should we finish the edges and/or cover the back of our "page"? Or should we leave it raw for the receiver to decide how to finish it?
