Live in the mountain area of Arizona, about 5000 ft., so we don't have to deal with the heat they have in the valley's. Am a quilter, tole painter, beader and paper crafter. Love all of my hobbies and am fortunate enough to have a studio just for me to play in with my hobbies. We live in a retirement community of about 450 houses, so there is alot of activities to do that keep us very busy tho' it is quite rural.
My husband and I travel alot, we have been all over Europe, sometimes staying up to a month in one place, we travel to Mexico, at least once a year, where we have stayed up to 5 months at a time, done quite a few cruises all over the world also. I grew up in Idaho on a farm where we had dairy cows and grew mostly potatoes & wheat. Our family was involved in rodeos alot and I did barrel racing until I was in my late teens and then I moved to California. That's where I met my husband, a native Californian. Horses seem to be my theme of choice for my home, " you can take the girl out of the country But you can't take the country out of the girl".
I have two small dogs that we spoil something terrible, but they are just so darn cute! Both have maltese in them but one is mixed with a yorkie.
My favorite paper crafts are greeting cards, scrapbooking and of course, ATC's. My favorite themes are: victorian, 1940's movies and actors/actresses and the 1920's fashions. I love to use shoes/faces/horses in my art. I like mostly pastel colors, but pink is my very favorite.
I like soft and relaxing music and R&B if its not too loud.
My favorite book was Back Street. I even used the main characters name, RAE, as my daughter's middle name.
Without a doubt, my all time favorite is GONE WITH THE WIND.
I have quite a large collection of the TRAIL OF PAINTED PONIES. I am sure that reflects back to my rodeo days.
