I’m a Technology Trainer and single mother of two living in beautiful Portland, Oregon. I’m passionate about life, art, and spirituality. I began my "grown-up" adult art life as a quilter and have quilted for over 17 years. I ran my own business for a while as a machine quilter and have taught quilting classes. I've since branched out into scrapbooking, rubber stamping, beading, and lately collage - where I can bring everything together. I've been swapping for a while - took a long break and bought my first house. I'm so happy to be back online regularly and swapping. I like a little bit of everything - especially art and vintage swaps. If you are interested in my work, I encourage you to take a look at my blog - which has a good deal of stuff prior to my long break - I'll be posting more current stuff again soon.
My favorite artist is Tori Amos. I love her music and especially her lyrics. I like almost all music and have a diverse collection. A few other favorites include: Live Blue October Counting Crows Damien Rice Tracy Chapman Vienna Teng
I love mostly literature, science fiction, and non-fiction.
My favorite magazines: Belle Armoire Jewelery, Somerset Studio, Bead & Button, and Cloth, Paper, Scissors. I also seem to purchase every single special interest publication by Somerset.
Field of Dreams - because even crazy dreams are worth pursuing if your spirit depends on them. Jerry McGuire - love the script and Tom Cruise and the basic themes. Twister - cause Tornados are so cool and I'm so glad I live far, far away from Tornado alley. Lord of the Rings (all) - epic. Harry Potter (all) - for many reasons, including, but not limited to, magic is real.
House Bones Fringe CSI + CSI Miami Body of Proof Anything on the Discovery Channel -- but especially Deadliest Catch and Storm Chasers Ghost Hunters
Beading, Stamping, Art Journaling, Quilting, and Photography.
I have recently started playing with recyclables in my art and would love some ideas here. Send me cool bits you have utilized in your art and really enjoyed.
I love things that tend toward the whimsical. Things with spirals and swirls. Faces, eyes, bright colors. Anything with butterflies.
Vintage stuff is a new passion. I really love this style and can really use more photos etc for my stash.
Anything "Goddess" related plus Celtic, Buddha, anything spiritual really. My one bumper sticker on my car says "Coexist".
Favorite Colors: Green (especially lime), Yellow, Pink (especially magenta).
Some of my favorite inspirations/products: Paula Best, ARTchixStudio, K & Company, 7 Gypsies, Sally Jean, See magazines above.
Did I mention bits? I love bits of things - clip art, vintage photos, old jewelry, charms (hand made ones really make me smile).

I just forgot to thank you for the neat extras you included with my teacup pincushy. They will be put to good use and I appreciate that they are profile based things, too. Sending good vibes and many thanks (again) for the jewel of a swap. You should post some pics of it for the group -it was so pretty.
