PBP Try New Techniques No need to be an ‘artist ’ Have you ever found yourself avoiding your craft area? Staring blankly at the canvas, screen, or sketchbook? Obsessing about the next line to make? These are some classic symptoms of artist’s block. And it happens to all of us, and when it happens it seems hopelessly permanent. Try Something New • Watercolors • Oils • Fabric • Transparencies • Digital You get the idea, try something you have wanted to try, or if you have been doing ATC size, are ready to go BIG! But no larger than “5x7â€. So really you can start this any time and just send it by send date. Surprise yourself and your partner! It would be nice to add a note saying what your thoughts were, but not required. 1 Partner 1 (5X7 inch) Page or 4 3/4 x 7 inches for our international swappers that have post restrictions • (Just means You may receive a Page or 4 3/4 x 7 inches) so they don’t have to pay triple postage $3.00 vs $9.00!) Page Any Theme Please think about posting your photos on the Page by Page Flickr Group account so we can all see these beautiful pages. I love to see how others create! Use any medium you wish but no nudity or sleaze please. Create an art journal page that can be added to an existing journal. Any artistic medium is allowed for this swap; Collages,Fabrics, Inks, Paints (Acrylics, Watercolors, etc). Remember this is for someone’s art journal. You will only need to complete one side as many people glue them onto another page. Sign the front as you would any piece of artwork you are proud of. Make a small tag with your information on it to be included with the page (can be attached or separate). When you receive a tip-in page, you open your book and cut 2 pages out of it about ½ to ¾ inches from the gutter. Then you glue the inside of each page, slide your tip-in page into the space that has the glue and sandwich it in between. Now you have a new page to your altered book! These are a great way to share end enjoy another's work without the risk of sending your whole book through the mail as you would do in a round robin |
