Well, what is there to say about me? I guess I'm a bit of a newbie on this whole crafting thing.. I have been busy painting and scrapping for a few years now, but only just started with stuff like chrocheting. I'm not so good at it yet haha ;)

I am 25 years old and born on the summer solstice what makes me a summerchild. I love the sun, as long as it's not too hot ;)

My daily stuff consists of going to school (studying to become a youthworker) and a 3 day-a-week internship with kids who have autism and a mental disability. With these kids I make paper notebooks and postcards. Well, the kids do the work and I help them :)

I live in the Netherlands in a flat with my 3 cats and 2 rabbits. My house is filled with books, games, junk (haha, trying to get rid of unwanted stuff ;)), pets etc. My toilet is my little cuteness-shrine where I put all my stuff up what is extremely cute, kitchy and glittery. It's purple and pink, with cupcakes, butterflies and glitters! I love it :)

One of my favorite things to do is stroll around the local shops to find stuff that I can use for my crafties. Usually it involves glitters or other cute stuff, and usually it ends up being stuck in my cupboard only to gather dust. That is also my reason for joining: I want to be more active with my crafting and get myself into making time for that.

I have a tendencie to sit behind the pc and the tv way too much, and I want to make 2011 my crafty year. And I think this community will sure help me with inspiring me to make many pretty things! :)

I work at a local music venue where i see tons of bands, especially local stuff and stuff from the Netherlands. When I'm at home I like to listen to EBM, rock, metal, emo and tons of other styles of music. I have anything from goa to tekno and from classical to Maria Mena. Some of my favorite bands include: -Lacuna Coil -VNV-Nation -The Retrosic -BoySetsFire -Crossfade -Skillet -The Prodigy -The Birthday Massacre -The Covenant -Wumpscut

And off course my boyfriend's band: Make it Last :)

I like to read, but unfortunately I don't read as much as I'd like to. When I was younger I'd read around 2-3 books a week. Nowadays I'm lucky if I read the same amount in 3 months.

I like chicklit, books about psychology and fantasy :) One of my favorites is still harry potter :)

I tend to fall asleep during movies, but stuff I really like is the Underworld series, Blade, Chronicles of Riddick, Tim Burton movies and other fantasy stuff.

I am too much of a chicken to watch horrormovies and thrillers but I do occasionally enjoy an arthouse movie :)

My favorite tv shows include House, Will & Grace, Southpark, the Simpsons, Top Chef, Little People etc. But, I try to cut back on the tv-time, since most of the time I just sit and stare at some boring advertisement or stupid show.

The list of stuff I can do is a lot shorter than stuff I would like to do haha ;) I like drawing, cooking, baking, painting, writing, scrapping and shopping. Yes, I concider shopping a craft. It might not be a craft where I am creating something from scrap, but it is a craft as such where I try to find the perfect gift for somebody. I love holidays and birthdays since it gives me the opportunity to get my loved ones nice presents they really need and/or really love.

Back to the crafts I would like to try or become better at: chrocheting, photographing, cooking, make stuff with clay, sewing, gardening.

Some of the others things I like to fill my days with are World of Warcraft and other games. I like computer games, but also really enjoy board games and card games with friends.

I have a lovely boyfriend who lives really close to me. He playes the guitar in a band and writes tons of music. We love teasing eachother and writing sweet texts to eachother.

I love love love my animals and have always had cats around me. They are my favorite animals in the whole world and whenever I see a kitty out on the street I always have to say hi ;)

I also like nature a lot :)
