********* 25th Jan 2011 - I haven't swapped for ages but I will be back!!! Getting ready to move house and things are a bit hectic here!! *************** ***********26th March - haven't moved yet, still logging in from time to time********************
Hey peeps. I'm 33 years old and live in Shropshire, UK. Not far from the famous Ironbridge! I work full time (boo hoo) for the National Health Service as a Allied Health Professional. I loved making things as a child and now as an adult I love scrapbooking and card making, sewing by hand and machine, altering frames, plant pots etc, photography, and pottery. I like giving new crafts a try.
I also love to watch tv, read, listen to music, sleep, play scrabble, craft (see above!), see friends, eat out, cook, go to crops and retreats, use facepacks, laugh until it hurts, and go on lovely cruises.
I love love love 80's music, especially electro pop and a bit of cheesy stuff too, like Wham, Human League, Spandau Ballet, Kylie and Jason, Duran Duran. The kind of stuff a DJ will play at a wedding and anything I can sing along with really. My favourite music channel is VH1 classic because they play my sort of thing. I also love more contemporary music like Florence and the Machine and Snow Patrol, but I also love 90's indie stuff too. And 60's and 70's! I'm not generally keen on country or classical though. Or hiphop. Or screechy stuff that you can't hear what they're singing. Must be getting old..............
Mostly chick-lit and autobiographies. Something funny, entertaining and moving! I loved a Nancy Wake biography (WW2 heroine) and a book about a man who accidentally had a sex change. It was fiction I hasten to add. I'm currently re-reading The diary of Adrian Mole aged 13 3/4. I first read it 20 years ago and now that I'm older, I'm picking up a few jokes that I missed or didn't understand at that time!
Comedy dramas mostly. Some action films. Some thrillers. I hate horrors but I can cope with them if its something like Scream!! I hate sci-fi too. And i'm not keen on animated or disney films. Not so keen on big blockbluster films but I do love Die Hard 1 and 2, Con Air, Cliffhanger and The Fugitive. I love British films, something quirky and easy to follow. My top films are
Comedies, murder mystery, thrillers, documentaries, some cute animal programmes (not insects or scary spiders!), topical stuff, the Soaps! I love Gavin and Stacey, Friends, The Inbetweeners, Spooks, Outnumbered, Benidorm, Mock the Week, Would I Lie to you? Not too keen on watching sports on tv. But I like the darts!
Scrapbooking, card making, sewing, altering picture frames, and other altered art. Providing I have the supplies, I'll have a go at anything! I would love to try jewellery making and glass blowing too.
