I've also been going through a lot of very serious personal things recently, I am very late in sending some swaps and have notified those people.

I'm a 23 year-old single mother to a gorgeous 2 year-old boy. I was married for three years but separated about a year ago.

I'm an animal lover and the owner of a pet rat named Grayer. I adore him and plan to get him a brother soon.

Music is one of my biggest passions. I'm almost always listening to my mp3 player and I love to discover new music. I am new to this site, seems like an awesome place so far.

My taste in music is very eclectic. iTunes on shuffle reveals some of these: Tom Petty (& The Heartbreakers), Stevie Nicks, Placebo, Blink-182, Garth Brooks, Bon Jovi, The Cure, Don Henley, The Clash, Florence + The Machine, Marc Cohn, Bruce Springsteen, John Butler Trio, Porcelain & The Tramps (now Porcelain Black).

Labyrinth, The Crow, Highlander, Kevin Smith movies, Knocked Up, Inglorious Basterds, Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, Thelma & Louise, Wayne's World 1 & 2, Bill & Ted movies, Pulp Fiction, Inception... the list goes on.

Family Guy, The Big Bang Theory, The IT Crowd, The Young Ones, Skins and Two Broke Girls is a favourite currently.

I enjoy books by Diana Gabaldon and James Patterson in particular, but I love a good book and read a variety of genres.

I really enjoy scrapbooking - maybe it's a mom thing. My son was born at 29 weeks so I used to scrapbook his photos at his bedside while he was in NICU. I love to write letters and am largely here for penpals, though I aim to try my hand at new things.

I'm starting a smashbook/junk journal, so things to put in that would be great. Some of the things I like are:

Quotes, especially handwritten or beautifully printed.

Alice In Wonderland - all styles.

Anything gothic styled

Scraps of fabric, especially plaid (I'm a sucker for plaid!) or checkered fabric.

Sheet music

Anything to do with festival of lanterns/floating lanterns/drive-in movies

Anything to do with Marilyn Monroe

Anything to do with any of the movies or music listed in my favourites sections.

Random words or phrases cut from magazines

Random book pages

Aside from the smashbook, I love things from or about Britain, especially to do with the flag (also The Young Ones, The IT Crowd, Skins), foreign currency (small change, etc), anything to do with burlesque, vintage lingerie, stockings, corsets, pin up, etc, as well as gypsy and bohemian themed things.
