Description:

For this swap you won't know what and how much you'll be sending until you have been assigned a partner. Why? Because in this swap, what you send depends on your partner's name!

It's a bit of a gamble, as you might get a partner with an absurdly long name - or a super short one, if you're lucky! In this swap series I'm also hosting swaps where the things you send depend on your partner's initials instead, so if you'd rather not risk getting partnered with Benevolent Cabbagepatch-Rumpelstiltskin, you might want to join those instead! β˜€οΈ

For each letter in your partner's FULL NAME (= first and last name), you will send an item from the following list:

  • A - Five book pages
  • B - Five pages cut from a magazine
  • C - Five pieces of scrapbooking paper
  • D - Five used stamps
  • E - Five washi samples (min. 15 inches)
  • F - One bookmark
  • G - One coin
  • H - One handmade envelope
  • I - One joke
  • J - One letter set (1 envelope, 2 sheets of paper)
  • K - One list of five of your current favourite songs
  • L - One list of three book recommendations
  • M - One list of three things on your bucket list
  • N - One paper clip (either fun shaped, or altered somehow)
  • O - One poem
  • P - One profile based surprise
  • Q - One recipe
  • R - One sticker sheet (min. 10 stickers)
  • S - One tea bag
  • T - Something blue
  • U - Something edible
  • V - Something handmade
  • W - Something with an animal on it
  • X - Ten sticker flakes
  • Y - Ten words in your language that you really like
  • Z - Two postcards, or notecards with envelopes
  • Γ…Γ„Γ–Γ‘ΕŠΕ½ΕΓ‡ΓˆΓ‹ and any other funny looking letters - Two ribbon or lace samples (min. 15 inches)

So, for a Jane Doe you would send one "J" item, one "A" item, one "N" item, two "E" items, one "D" item and one "O" item from the list above. Every letter counts - I have three Es and three Ns in my name, so my partner will send me three "E" items, and three "N" items.

I'm using a list randomiser, so if you participate in all of the swaps in this series, you'll receive different things each time! :D

Now that the fun part of the swap description is over, here are the other rules and requirements:

1) Besides the alphabet requirement, this swap is 100% sender’s choice. However, it's a good idea to check out your partner's profile to see if you can send them something they like. Try to avoid things they're allergic to if possible! πŸ’•

2) You have three weeks to send your mystery package. Tuck in a note with the swap name and your username on it, along with a list of items you've sent your partner.

3) Please give your partner a 5 if you receive the correct amount of the items that go with the letters of your name.

4) No newbies this time - participants must have received ratings for at least 20 type 2 and/or 3 swaps. And no unexplained/recent 1 or 3 ratings either! I will check all participants before assigning partners and remove anyone who does not fit the requirements of the swap.

5) If you're a newbie and therefore don't meet the criteria above, but would still like to participate, I'll gladly do a private swap with you! Just message me and I'll set up a private swap for us. πŸ’–

So for repeating letters do we have to multiply the item by that number? Would 4 E's equal 60 inches of washi?

Yes, you multiply the item. Four E's would equal 15 inch samples from 20 different washi tapes, not just 60 inches of the same five tapes.
