About Me

I'm a medieval historian or I pretend to be! I am currently applying to PhD programs in medieval history where my main area is 14th century England with an emphasis on the laws of war. I did my master's in Glasgow, Scotland at the University of Glasgow and am longing to go back! I really fell in love with Scotland and more so with Glasgow.

Favorite Books

Oh dear-since I do a lot of research I usually stick with historical fiction, but in the romance area. My auto buys are Amanda Quick, Liz Carlyle and Elizabeth Hoyt.

I love Gaston Leroux Phantom of the Opera! As well as Victor Hugo's Les Misérables and Erich Maria Remarque's All Quiet on the Western Front.

Favorite Television

I love to watch Brothers & Sisters, Greek and Gossip Girl.

Favorite Movies

Historical / Period Dramas are my fave! I'm a big fan of Gone With the Wind. I'm also a fan of the actor Gerard Butler.

Favorite Music

I have a sister who works in the music industry so I'm open to all kinds of music, but I really don't like rap or hard heavy metal. I do like Bryan Adams and James Blunt for example. I love to relax to classical music and enjoy attending the opera now and then.

Favorite Sweets / Snacks

Scottish highland fudge, butterscotch candy, Werther's original, jolly ranchers, chocolate either plain for with nuts and some fruit like cherries, popcorn with butter, cheez-It crackers, pretzels, caramel popcorn with nuts, cookies, scones & rice krispie treats.

Favorite Coffee / Tea

Coffee: French Vanilla as well as Irish Cream (instant is good as well)

Tea: Open to any type except green tea and chai tea and no fruity flavors. Loose tea is fine.

Hot Chocolate: Any kind with or without marshmallows

A little more...

FAVORITES

color: pink, navy blue, blue

I did like the chocolate hazelnut by the way! Thanks again!

LadyBathory on Feb 15, 2010:

Just got the WTA gifts from the Another time, another place group.
Looove the tea bag squeezer, my very favourite tea is a mint tea in string less bags, so this will come in handy :)
And thank you for all the lovely tea, I cant wait to try them out and I'm so glad you put in two of the chocolate hazelnut one, because my husband was practically drooling when I showed it to him, and I suspect that he might steal it while I'm not looking grin

vitaminD on Sep 7, 2009:

Hahaha... I love Gerard Butler too! Especially in 'PS I Love You' - such a silly chick flick. Sad and yet wondrously happy. Always notes people can heal from life, no matter what. thumbs up

missstamper on Sep 2, 2009:

Thanks again for the smile package. I posted a pic of the items on my flicker page. Check it out when you get a chance.
