Hi! My name is Katherine, I'm a card maker and sender from the Canadian prairies. I love getting happy mail in my mailbox and brightening up other people's days with my cards. I'm a music and band teacher by day, and when I'm not carding I love spending time with my partner and our three cats.

You may see our late cat Pepper or my two sister cats Merry and Pippin on my return address labels when you get mail from me! We also have a little black cat named Pazuzu who recently came into our lives. She has an interesting brain - she is blind, has seizures, and is a wobbly walker (our cat Pippin has cerebellar hypoplasia and is also a wobbly walker!)

I've been on Swap Bot over two years now - how the time flies! I recently became the founder of the group Only in Canada - if you're a Canadian swapper, we'd love to have you join!

I'll also take this section to note that YES, even though the US and Canada are geographically close mail can take 3 - 4 weeks to get from me to the US routinely! I've had a few US users ask for resends lately where they've got the original envelope a day or two after I put a new one in the mail. I am not American, please don't expect the quickness of domestic mail from me if you are American!

Favourite Colours: I love shades of blue and green, and silver!

I have only recently started collecting stamps, so I love receiving cancelled stamps as part of packages. If they don't suit my style, I'll use them to pass on and trade with others!

I have no food allergies. I enjoy most kinds of foods, snacks, and tea/coffee, except anything MINT flavoured! Earl Grey is my favourite kind of tea.

My biggest dislike is mint flavoured tea/candy. Just not my flavour!

I am pretty new to the stamp collecting game. Currently I am trying to get at least one stamp from as many countries as possible.

I collect stamps from the following countries:

• Canada

• Japan

and stamps from anywhere in the following themes:

• music (especially instruments and composers, but anything music related is great!)

• handicrafts (cross stitching, quilting, sewing, whatever!)

• Canada geese

• Stamps featuring Canada that aren't Canadian stamps

• magic, especially Harry Potter

I also love stamps that feature Christmas, flowers, animals, and food!

My favourite thing to swap on swapbot is pocket letters (full sized or mini) - I'll always be willing to do a private swap for them, just shoot me a message!

Card making is the craft I spend the most time on. I love trying out new techniques - lately I have been fully in on the gel press craze and have been trying it out a ton. I have a cricut that I love to make unique paper cuts. I love sharing my cards and learning from other card makers as well!

I also cross stitch - lately I have been trying to incorporate that into my cards more!
