Heyo! I've been crafting for many years. I just love to make stuff! None of my friends or family have the art/crafting bug, so I've turned to the internet to try to find some friendly souls who share the same interests. I also love making things for other people. Yeah, it's nice to make myself stuff. But I really enjoy surprising others with handmade goodies. Therefore, I cherish items that people make and send to me as well.
About me: I'm a vegetarian. I have no children. I don't like stuff just for the sake having stuff. Most stuff I own has a purpose (please visit www.storyofstuff.org/movies). My dog, a big newfie, is the best part of my life (I'm not a cat person!).
As a swap hostess, I will always angel if someone flakes. I simply don't state it in the swap because I don't want anyone thinking, "Hey, she'll angel, so if I don't send it, I'm covered." Which is, of course, a terrible thing to think!
There are a LOT of things I enjoy making. Recently, it's been paper crafts (such as albums, decorative items, tags, and sometimes cards) and mixed media projects. I do art journal as well.
Stamps, inks, and color spray/mists are my most favorite supplies to use!
I also knit and crochet on occasion, but tend to find myself doing that more in the winter. Crocheting a blanket keeps your lap warm during the cold months! =) I'm not very advanced when it comes to yarn projects though.
While I do not like to sew very much (using the machine, that is!), I don't mind hand-sewing. I do like to make little felties when I'm not staining my hands with inks and paints. Creatures, food... it's all fun and cute!
I like to make jewelry and try different things. Wirework, bracelets, earrings, necklaces... whatever catches my fancy at the time.
I now join ATC swaps, they're so much fun!
On occasion, I break out the polymer clay as well. Depends on if I've come up with a project idea that requires it.
So yeah... pretty much a jack of all trades!
LIKES:
Vintage ephemera, steampunk, grungy stuff, metals, Tim Holtz products, Lindy's Stamp Gang stuff, Prima, Graphic 45, Bo Bunny, paper flowers (in moderation!), ribbon (thin, for using with tags and cards), washi tape, and paints of all kinds. Mixed media is the best!
Rubber stamps!!! Not so much the cutesy animal/child kind, but ones from Stampers Anonymous/Tim Holtz, Hero Stamps, art stamps, stamps for journaling, and the like.
I like video games. The Final Fantasy franchise is one of my favorites.
I'm not really picky when it comes to colors. I prefer grungy colors, bold colors, and metallics.
Japanese kawaii items! I like Sentimental Circus, Sumikkogurashi, and Zombbit. I'm not a big fan of Rilakkuma or cute cat stationery, but don't worry, I won't freak out if you send it! Oh, and I do like Hello Kitty.
I like butterflies, dragonflies, birds, flowers. Zombies are awesome.
I LOVE coffee and I am a tea drinker also.
DISLIKES:
Themes I don't like: Nautical (I hate boats and they hate me. I don't like lighthouses, anchors, seagulls, surfboards... Shells are ok though). Western. Native American.
Clowns are evil. So are dolls.
I'm not into fashion... so items that are dress related, shoe related, etc... Meh.
Please don't send me stuff that other people have made for you. Just because you never liked it or don't want it anymore doesn't mean you should pawn it off on me. I find it rude. (this tends to happen to me in the "make someone's day" type exchanges.)
Magazine clippings. Don't need 'em, don't want 'em.
I am not a religious person. Sorry, but that sort of stuff would be lost on me.
The few shows I do watch are Code Black, Elementary, Perception, Major Crimes, Falling Skies, and Graceland.
I'm a big anime fan. I've seen so many it's hard to name favorites, but some would be Code Geass (cried like a baby at the end), Haruhi Suzumiya, Full Metal Alchemist, Evangelion, Last Exile, Full Metal Panic!, and Chobits. Of course, I also love all the Miyazaki films. Who doesn't love Totoro?
Movie-wise, I prefer sci-fi and fantasy. Aliens, elves, zombies, and giant robots are much more interesting than comedy and romance.

Thank you for the great rusty paper! I'm kind of a paper hoarder so this is a very cool addition to my collection!
