I share my home in North Carolina with my husband of 25 years, our dog, and sometimes our son and daughter. They are both recent college graduates, and they are not quite settled yet.
For many years I devoted myself to parenting and homeschooling my children. I am still trying to figure out what's next. I enjoy the extreme luxury of being able to stay home and craft all day.
I LOVE COLOR. A recent, very long search for a new (used) car brought us to a plain white mini van. The salesman, knowing my fear of driving, encouraged me by saying white cars are the safest because they are the easiest to see. My husband laughed and explained to the man that if I had a choice, my car would be the color of my shirt. :) It was bright pink. :) He was exaggerating. I would choose turquoise.
Spring green and turquoise. Also pinks, dark coral, creamy yellows, and not-too-bright oranges. I like rainbowy colors also, but the mid-tones are my favorites.
I DON"T like movies that are creepy, extremely violent, or depressing. Other than that, I'm easily entertained. The Proposal, Dirty Dancing, The Princess Bride, the Bourne series, Goodwill Hunting, The Blind Side, Notting Hill.....
I am a reuse artist. I enjoy the thrift and creative challenge. It gives me great pleasure to make pretty things out of trash. I am a jack-of-many-trades, but master of none. Often I start with the materials, figure out a use for them, and then figure out how to prettify them.
I do a bit of sewing, quilting, embroidery, collage, card making, scrapboking, journaling, ATCs. and mail art.
I have an abundance of crafting and mailing supplies. I am trying hard to avoid bringing new items into my crafting room. Amazon makes this quite a challenge! Your cheerful, loving words are enough for me. There is plenty of room in my heart for those. :)
Cheerful thoughts
Kind words
Handmade items are treasures for me. Even if the swap calls for store bought, I would prefer handmade always.
