I live in the County of San Diego, California. I am a single mother of a 19 year old son, I work in the health care industry, I have been an amateur artist since I can remember but a crafter by heart! I have found I am addicted to arts and crafts, many different kinds like: painting, scrapbooking, beading, felt, stenciling, hydrocal, sewing and quilting, stained glass...Just to name a few...:)
I enjoy all kinds of music and this last year have been introduced to a few new varieties! I like pretty much any music with the exception of screamo, forget that!! I like pop, soft rock, lighter classic rock and alternative, country, piano, some jazz, guitar, instrumental and just been introduced to German music from the 40's (Han's Albers) and Lawrence Welk, very interesting! My childhood inspirations was Olivia Newton-John, Fleetwood Mac, The Commodores, The Eagles, Crystal Gayle, John Denver, Michael Jackson, Bread, and so many others!
I like a variety, I enjoy fiction and non-fiction, documentaries, romance (used to read a lot of Danielle Steele, Fern Michaels, Nora Roberts, etc. I also like investigative, forensic, and expeditions. Books I read in recent times are: The Frozen Ship, The Bounty, True Believer, Cold Case Files, and ALL the Twilight series (yep, I'm a Twimom), The Host, Northern Lights ,Kalidescope and I think the most interesting book I've read and a favorite was "The Mirror".
Titanic, Pearl Harbor, Chronicles of Riddick, X-Files, Twilight Series of Course! The Abyss, Grease, LOTR's, War of the Worlds, Star Wars Trilogy, action/adventure (i.e. Indiana Jones, Tomb Raider,..), Suspense (Sixth Sense, Sleeping with the Enemy, Taking Lives, Phone Booth, etc.), Kids movies (Finding Nemo, Toy Story, Monster's Inc., Robots, Wall-E, etc...) again, a lot of different kind! I'm just a pretty easy going person that is not very picky, I like just about anything, not crazy about horror flicks, depends, preferably not by myself LOL!
My favorite television shows have been: CSI, NCIS, Forensic Files, ER, House, Survivor, American Idol, sitcoms, nature shows (NO spiders or snakes please!), storm stories, animal shows, history channel, travel channel, discovery health and science channels, dramas, comedy, adventure, sci-fi, (used to be a die hard Xfile fan), romance and some sports, mostly winter olympics and gymnastics, I do however watch some football and baseball with my son and a rare golf tournament.
Gee, where shall I start?? Last year I moved to a bigger place and have an entire arts/crafts/sewing area in my room, I have a tremendous amount of different types: acrylic, watercolor and tole type painting, standard artist pencils and supplies, colored pencils, charcoal, markers, scrapbooking, card making, beading, wire wrapping, loom beading, embroidery, ribbon embroidery, crewel embroidery, quilting supplies, crocheting, knitting, knifty knitter stuff, applique, fabric painting, felting, wool felting, stenciling, ceramics, silk flower projects, wood burning, wood carving, all kinds of sewing projects, photography and probably more things not listed....
I'd like to eventually buy a small kiln so that I can do dichroic glass and make my own ceramics, I got to do a simple dichroic project in the stained glass class I took last year, that was neat! I'd love to learn how to do glass blowing, candle and soap making, metal works.
