I am an elementary school teacher for the third and 4th grade. I teach around 40 students. I teach Social Studies and English/Language Arts. I live and teach on the west-bank of New Orleans in Jefferson Parish. I have been a teacher for 17 years and have taught all subjects and all grades 1-8.

I am a mom of 4. (Ages 9, 12, 14, and 17) My kids keep me busy with their activities which include art, cheer, guitar, piano, tae Kwon do, and horseback riding.

My husbands full time job is being a Pastor at a Lutheran Church. So I am known at times as the Pastor’s wife. My husband is doing ok now but he has a heart condition and survived a major heart attack. He has a pacemaker and a defibrillator. He sees the transplant doctors although he is getting by OK for now. His heart only functions around 35 percent.

Galveston area original hometown now a NOLA (New Orleans, LA) girl.

Always keeping busy. Sometimes too busy. My house is frequently a mess. I try.

My classroom is beach themed so I feel home away from home.

I have 3 dogs. I have a stray that showed up that is a mixed breed terrier, a miniature pinscher, and a long haired chihuahua. I also have 4 cats. A Siamese, a tabby, a tortoiseshell, and an all black cat.
