My name is Jessika, and I am 34 years old. I'm from Holland, and I live in a small village near the water with my husband, two cats and a dog. I like to read, go hiking with my dog, and do all kinds of diy-projects.

I am new to this, but I am already a member of postcrossing. I like to surprise someone I don't know with a beautiful postcard, and it's kind of a sport to me to find something wich that person might like.

But.. there is so much more you could send someone to put a smile on their face. I am a creative person with lots of ideas, and I think I'd like it even more when I can put a little bit of that creativity in an envelop and send it across the world :)

I like to crochet, sewing, scrapbooking, embroidery, drawing, and almost anything I can put my creativity in.

a: animals (all kinds of animals. It's so surprising to learn about their lifes, how far they travel, what dangers they have to face and how they hunt)

b: books (I like reading a lot since I was a child)

c: cats (I have two cats. they are brothers, but they are very different from each other, although they have one thing in common; they are sooo cute)

d: dogs (My dog is always with me when I go outside. He loves to run, play, and swim, and so do I. He is my best friend.)

e: easter (every year we have a familybrunch, and I like that a lot)

f: france (my favorite country, with the most beautiful language. I wish I was there more often)

g: garden (I love gardening, although I never seem to have enough time to make my garden really gorgeous)

h: hearts (anything with hearts.)

i: illustrations ( cute or funny, or with animals)

j: jigsaws (on winter evenings my husband and I love to do this on the kitchen table with hot chocolate beside us)

k: keep calm and... (I like these sayings)

l: letters (love to write them and love to read them)

m: music (music is important to me. I play a little guitar, and listen to all kinds of music)

n: nature (I love to go hiking, especially in the forest, or by the sea, and spot birds, when my dog doesn't scare them away :) )

o: owls (I collect anything with owls. Really love them!)

p: postcards (Like to find a card that I think really matches the person I'm sending it to. Like to find one in my mailbox too of course :) )

q: quotes (I like beautiful quotes, or funny ones!)

r: recipes (cooking is one of the things I love to do ehen I really have the time for it. I like all kinds of food and like to try new things)

s: surprises (in Holland we have a holiday at 5-12 wich is called 'sinterklaas' at that holiday we make surprises for each other. a little present, wrapped in something creative you made and before the person opens it he or she has to read a poem you wrote for them first. me and my family do this every year, it's always so much fun!)

t: tea (almost anything, except lemon. I love herbs & fruits)

u: unexpected things (I like it when things turn out different from what I was thinking.)

v: Venice (never been there, but it is one of my biggest wishes to go there with my husband. so romantic..)

w: writing (I like to write. About nearly anything.)

x: x-mas (what can I say; the most wonderful time of the year)

y: yarn (I love to crochet. But my cats love yarn too. Especially when I'm crocheting with it!)

z: zoological garden ( I go to the Zoo in Rotterdam almost every month)

I like all kinds of postcards. But I prefer them written in an envelope, because the postcards are so often damaged lately. The mailman here is not so carefully with them.
