UPDATE AUGUST 9, 2023:
I saw something on Facebook today that reminded me of Swap-bot and how much fun I used to have swapping with people around the world. So I decided to visit. I didn’t realize it, but wow!! It’s been over 9 years! I was sad to see two “1” ratings and knew I had to comment…I feel terrible for letting these ladies down. It’s been so long that I’m sure they are probably not interested in a re-send. I checked and neither have been active for years, but if they come back, I will make things right. I’ve responded to the ratings and I’ve updated my email, so if messages are sent, I’ll see them. I plan to come back soon to update my profile and maybe join a swap.
Thanks for reading!
I'm Jenny~ my friends call me Jen. I'm a very down to earth person and am definitely NOT materialistic! Give me a comfy sweatshirt and a pair of jeans and I'm happy!
I LOVE to laugh~ the best feeling is when you're trying so hard NOT to laugh and then you look over at someone else who's trying not to laugh... and now you're both about to explode!!! :O)
I love hanging out with my girlfriends.I would do anything for my friends. I'm a good listener and have pretty strong shoulders! On the down side, I tend to get my feelings hurt easily and care too much what others think. I've gotten better with this the past few years, but I still struggle sometimes with low self esteem.
The four most important people in my life are my husband and three children. Without them, I would be nothing.
I met Robert when we were only 18 and 20. One of the first few times I spoke to him was at the shop where he worked on his race car; that very night he proposed. He won me over with a soldered ring with a blob of brass in place of a diamond! Three months later he gave me the real thing and we eloped to LasVegas. We celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary this July. ♥
I'm very involved with my kids; I've been the PTO Treasurer for 12 years, was a Girl Scout leader for 6yrs, serve on numerous committees throughout the school and also Chair the end of year school Carnival.
In March our son turned 18!!! He's a self taught guitar player and song writer. I love listening to him play. He's very outgoing, funny and talented. Last month, he graduated High School as his Senior Class President. Although we're very proud of him, and we're so excited to see him go off to college, it's bitter sweet. And I will miss him terribly.
Our oldest daughter is 15; she and I are best buds. We have a great time shopping, crafting and just hanging out together. Just like me, she wears her heart on her sleeve. She would do anything for anybody. But UN-like me who's a total clutz, she's a natural athlete. As a Freshman she lettered in Varsity Softball, is captain of and holds the libero position on the JV Volley Ball team and even as one of the shortest girls, she still owns the Basketball court!
Our baby will be 9 in July. She's one of the youngest in her class, but you would never know it. She's incredibly smart, outgoing and friendly, making friends every where we go. A bubble of energy, she loves to sing and dance; she's won a lead roll in the Children's Theater for the past three years, and steals the show every time. She's definitely not one to sit around and has to constantly be kept busy. She's spoiled rotten by all four of us and we love her to pieces!
Charlie is our Chocolate Lab ♥ His best friend for the longest time was a loppy eared rabbit who he loved to snuggle with under the tree. We all found this hysterical! Wasn't Charlie supposed to "hunt" rabbits!? The kids love telling the story of Charlie and Peter. Unfortunately Peter has passed on. But Charlie is still a happy dog. He now spends his days slobbering on his family, and barking at birds and squirrels.
Lucy is our rescue cat. ♥
Robert and I were NOT cat people! and then one day this tiny little kitten found her way into our garage and our girls found her! My husband the tough guy that he is couldn't say no and she's been with us ever since.
I LOVE to read. I have a Kindle but still I love the smell and feel of a book. I love the sound of the page turning... I have a whole room in my house filled with shelves of books. I could have piles of books around me and never get bored!
Reading is one of the best things I have in common with my 15 year old daughter. We both LOVE the Twilight , Harry Potter and Hunger Games Series. We have many great talks about some of the books we've read. We recently read Divergent and Insurgent and can NOT wait until the 3rd book is released!! As you can tell, we favor books in series.. But personally, I don't have a favorite genre. From YA,Utopian, Science Fiction, to love stories (50 Shades!!!) and the scariest by Steven King. I enjoy them all. I'm also fascinated with true crime and can read court transcripts for hours...Right now I'm reading "Helpless" by Barbara Gowdy, an author I've not read before. Next up is the Mortal Instrument series. My daughter has been telling me to read them, and now they're making a movie so I better get started!!!
My very favorite book! As a child it was a whimsical fairytale. As an adult it holds a lot of meaning ♥
I own all of the books and movies. My best friend along with my daughter and her best friends, went to every midnight premiere and marathon! (We were the weird group of people in our specially ordered gear... we brought our blankets and wore our personalized Twilight sweatshirts and pj's...) Before every premiere we worked ourselves up for months! Of course after the midnight showing, we would have to go again (and again and again....) It wasn't uncommon for our group to see each movie at least 5 times in the theater. I mean, it would be months before the DVD's came out! (at which point we again stood in line at midnight waiting to be one of the first to get our hands on the prize!!!).....sigh... We all bawled our eyes out at the end of Breaking Dawn II. Twilight has been such a huge part of our lives for the past 6 years.
I am mostly a paper crafter; I can't sew or draw very well! But I LOVE crafting and have a great time with it! ~ Someday I hope to learn to use my big beautiful sewing machine that sits there collecting dust day after day~
My latest projects:
coming soon.....
I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Cricut! I have TONS of cartriages and I have a wish list of more!
I love to alter just about anything; paintcans, books, jars, lightbulbs, ....
What was once a pineapple can made a very cute gift container!
I hunt garage sales and auctions to find the "perfect" thing. I love making other people's junk into something someone else might love!
I also like using rubber stamps and making cards. I'm proud to be part of a large group that makes cards anonymously and sends to those in need.
I love antique furniture and hope to someday have time to restore all of the "treasures" I've found at various auctions over the years! I love old jewelry and will take apart broken peices and put them together to make something new :) I have a collection of old cookbooks and am always looking for more! If you have any you would like to get rid of I would LOVE them!
I love fall, it's my favorite time of year. The leaves are changing color and it's getting cooler but not cold! It's still warm enough to go without a jacket (most of the time)! My favorite colors are those that remind me of this time of year.
I love cute Halloween crafts/supplies but nothing bloody or gory! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday; I love getting together with the extended family!
I'm just starting out at making ATCs and am having a blast with this, so anything that I could add to them would be great:
I start every day off with a hot cup of coffee :) I also enjoy:
I decided to edit this- there's really NOT much I wouldn't like to receive~ if by chance something comes and I don't have a use for it I will find someone who does!
I'm always up for them! I can offer most scrap supplies: buttons, brads, eyelets, paper, stickers, stamped images, cuts from my cricut (I have TONS of carts) etc. Like I said, I don't sew, but LOVE putting together profile based packages! If you're interested let me know!! Send me a PM and I'll happily reply!

Didn't receive ratings from either one of my partners here: PostalPix Photo Print Swap
I LOVE swapping and always put alot of time and effort into my swaps. If I add somthing to your package it's because I think you might like it, not because I'm expecting a heart. What I do expect is acknowledgement; that you have at least received your swap. You may not love it- or even believe that we have the same definition of "art"... But I HOPE you will and I guarantee that I will try my hardest so that you WILL LOVE it. So PLEASE take a moment and RATE!
To my partners, I PROMISE to rate as soon as I receive your swap! If I have not rated you it's because I haven't received anything. But I am human and may forget so if you are concerned PLEASE send me a PM and I will rate ASAP!! Everyone deserves to be rated!!♥
Well that's it for now.. come back soon! I love to update my profile and I'll be adding more as I think of it!

Hi! I hope everything is okay I see you haven't been online for awhile. I wanted to let you know due to your recent 1's that I would need to remove you from All Things Halloween. Once the 1's are cleared up I hope you will rejoin us.
A swap from you arrived at my home in Canada - a green/purple/blue envie with a bird and flowers. I don't know which swap it is for but will rate you when I return home in early December. Thx! (";)
...to Notecards to Go!
Would you please go here and comment that you have read and understand the group rules. Thx!
I sent you an invite...I hope you accept.
Hi Jen, I just saw your post in the PFs...I am sorry because I just figured out you meant The Postcard Place. We (me Terry and Colleen) all take turns doing the monthly check and sometimes we tend to miss the in between swap people. (I almost removed my own daughter, till I just happen to remember she was in a current swap.)...We would love to have to back as it was our fault. : )
i am sure it was just a simple mistake, if you are in a current swap. contact the founders and aks why you have been removed.
Please come back and read our responses to your post. :-)
Thanks! Happy Friday to you as well!
Welcome to our group!
Please join one or two swaps!
