I work in New Media, and like knitting, crochet, mixtapes, making videos and writing. I'm more than a bit of a geek, and am well-into my social-medias etc (also part of my job). My favourite colours are black and purple, because they don't clash with my bright red hair. I love outrageous statement jewellery from the likes of Punky Pins and Tatty Devine, and adore cute hair clips and unusual oddities. I am, however, slightly allergic to some metals, so I can't wear non-silver earrings or necklaces.
My personal style is unashamedly plus-size and two parts rock to three parts riot grrrl, with more than a dash of geek. There's nothing I won't eat that you can send by post, and there's no style of music I won't at least try to listen to (I review music in my spare time). However, I'm not a huge fan of pink/fluffy things - I prefer geek chic and oddness.
My favourite author of all time is Georgette Heyer, which always surprises people, and my favourite band is either Incubus (the early years) or The Donnas, depending on what day of the week it is.
Please treat me kindly - I'm new! Although I'm not so new at swapping and posting things - I love sharing mix tapes and send a postcard to my Grampa every day.
I'm pretty new here, so I thought I'd invite your questions. If you have anything you want to know, then PM me and I'll have a go at answering.
Here's a few to kick things off:
I like to knit and crochet odd bits and pieces - for example, recently I crocheted pads to replace the foam parts of my headphones, and I also knit the odd scarf/hat. I also like to whip up YouTube videos, write music reviews, or design and code up blogs for friends. When I go out for dinner, I prefer to go to the pub or to a casual restaurant with friends.
I adore kooky underground street art, but I also have a really wide mix of things. I have, amongst other things, a limited edition Jamie McKelvie print, an old religious icon (even though I'm an atheist!), some bright abstract art my mum painted for me, a mirror with bits of found glass stuck round the edge, and an outrageous embroidery of a foetus in utero, done in gold thread and sequins.
The Icelandic volcanic eruptions mean that international post is being delayed, although all flights have now been resumed so it should be back to normal soon.
I will send everything as soon as possible, but please be aware that it might take longer than usual to get to you. This is unfortunately completely out of my control. Sorry!

Here are some things I particularly like, in case you need any ideas:
Sweets and teas: I love any kind of (individually-wrapped) goodies - I'm not a huge fan of American chocolate, but I'll try anything once! We love trying out new and unusual things in my office, so someone's bound to like almost anything you send
Postcards/notes: I absolutely love weird and crazy postcards and notes/notepaper, either blank or with your message. I send a different postcard to my Grampa every day, and it's hard finding new ones!
Jewellery parts: I sometimes make my own jewellery, so charms and findings etc are always good
Anything to do with knitting/crochet, including yarns (preferably black, grey, purple, blue or green, and in bright colours - but I'm not fussy!)
Stickers: Stickers are AWESOME, I love stickers! The weirder the better!
Souvenirs: I'm really interested in finding out about what it's like where you live, and how things are different from my way of life
Customised/handmade items: Anything you have made yourself will have a good home with me. I love handmade/altered items
Hair clips/accessories: The brighter, the better - but bear in mind I have bright red hair! Pink clashes badly
Clippings: I scrapbook a little, and read a lot - I'd love to see anything you've seen in a newspaper/magazine and think is funny/interesting/curious
Drawings/sketches/writing/poetry: As I said before, anything you have made or spent time over will be very much valued
My least favourite thing is smoking, so it would be nice if you could mark on your envelope if you smoke and I can leave the parcel to air before taking it inside my house. Thanks!
