I have a tendency to judge a book by its cover, interesting art, images and text catch my eye and I'll pick up the book. Also titles, Im a sucker for a good title, somthing deep, maybe meaningful, maybe a little poetic - and I'll immediatley grab for it. I'm in love with every book that Elizabeth Hay has written, and I have found some great loves in the fiction and autobiography sections.

Joshua Radin, Greg Laswell, Pete Yorn, Mumford and Sons,The Weepies To name a few. Me and my best friend make each other mix cd's with the newest songs that we've recently stumbled upon, whether from TV shows, commercias, movies, the internet, and complie them on CD's for each other. Its a great way to expose yourself to new artists that you may not have bothered to listen to on your own terms.

Friends, Everwood, The OC, One Tree Hill, Recently Crime Dramas - because I only have one TV channel and thats what tends to come on after 10pm... I'm also a HUGE fan of Sesame Street - the retro version that I watched growing up in the 80's. Thanks to Netflicks for coming to Canada - because now Im relativley addicted to Thrity Something - the Drama show from the 80's - only got a one star rating but in my mind its AMAZING!

I live in St. John's Newfoundland, but I was born in Toronto. I moved last July after I graduated from University, I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life, but I knew I loved Newfoundland, so I decided one day to move there, so far I love it here.

I knit whenever I can, I havn't mastered double pointed needles yet - and I hate knitting on circulars, good thing I dont mind seaming. I also browse thrift stores on a semi-regular basis, ever since I was a child Ive been surrounded by antiques, my parents would load me and my brothers up in the van on weekends and drive all over the city and province hunting for antiques. I grew to appreciate the beauty and craftmanship of old furniture, lighting fixtures, artwork and home decor accessories. I wish things were still made they way they once were.

I have two Etsy shops, one specializes in vintage knitting patterns, the other me and my partner run together and we sell our vintage finds there.

I have two adorable kitties Pippy and Ollie (both girls), who are so loving and amazing, despite the fact that they are sooo bad and I want to squish them with hugs everyday. Ollie comes into bed to snuggle in the mornings and the evenings, and Pippy is just such a character, so vocal always chatting about somthing.
