i love to make things. i have been making handmade gifts for friends and family since well, always. the process of giving something homemade makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

here are the crafts i do (and enjoy): jewelry; sewing; homemade health and beauty items; painting; drawing; lino block cutting and printing; embroidering; card making; altered books; and the list goes on and on.

i pretty much enjoy every type of craft with the exception of knitting and crochet.

i don't own a television. scandalous, i know. but i do enjoy an occasional adventure into the lives of the sex and the city gals, america's next top model, gilmore girls and project runway. i like the fluff.

i am currently attempting to read a book a week. 52 in 2008.

i live just north on san francisco, but will always be a midwesterner at heart.

i am a bit quirky, probably a little weird. i laugh at inapropriate things.

i am married, and really annoyingly happy and pleased about who i am married to

i am a commercial interior designer, and everyone seems to want my job. as they should, because it is a really great job.

i am not ok unless i volunteer for something i believe in. i am not ok unless i live what i believe.

i am frugal. i find thriftiness to be sexy.

i am crazy about saving the planet.

i enjoy traveling, and dream of going to japan.

i love my family. i love my friends. and i love my cat. but i am not a cat person.

favorite color: green (inbetween chartreuse and olive); i like most colors with the exception of purple and neon yellow

favorite scents: vanilla, mint, citrus. nothing flowery.

favorite animals: chickens and goats

favorite flowers: tulip and yellow daisies

favorite place: ocean, library, cabin in the appalachians, my home

favorite things/motifs/ideas/patterns: trees, birds, robots, post modern design, feathers, circles, maps, screenprinting, trains, buildings, road trips

that just about wraps it up.
