I'm a 40-something stay-at-home mom of teenagers (help!) who loves to create FUN art! I am messy. When I craft, I spill. I use resin. It's not good to be messy when you like to use resin. My desk is very shiny...due to spilled resin...not a bad thing really...I need to spill some more to even out the shine. I have a deep faith in God...without Him I would not be messy...I'd be a mess.

I love altered anything. Recycling found objects into something lovely. ATC's...altered dominoes...collage...altered bottlecaps...almost always using humor and almost always featuring people because, honestly, what's funnier than a face?

I am a reality TV junkie. I believe it's all real. No I don't. Yes I do. It's fun to think it is! The DIY network is sometimes my "white noise" summoning me to view it's wonders on occasion when someone is making something with resin or gel medium.

I like almost anything but rap. Some country is depressing. I like music with a beat...happy music. Toe-tapping, knee slapping music. Even the music my kids listen to has drawn me in. I'm not a "turn that crap down" type of mom but I'll give just about anything a chance...right now I'm listening to Paramour.

I love anything old and weathered and with a history. Vintage ephemera...old photos...retro 50's kitch...vintage text...bits and pieces of fabric or lace or trim...BUTTONS...letters (the note-to-grandma kind and actual abc letters- preferably old)...metal anything - gosh I like rusty stuff! I love to make up stories about people. Old photos speak to me (not in a "oooh, she's hearing voices way!) People are the best inspiration! My favorite "art supply" is an old photo. The wackier the person the better! My family is always on the lookout for great photos for me. I love them for it!

aaaah...coffee. Nectar of the Gods. My drug of choice. I have been known to be slightly on edge until I have my morning mondo-cup of coffee. (honestly, my cup is huge...you know those big fun coffee cup planters? OK, it's not QUITE that big, but close!) While sipping it's dreaminess I am in heaven. Non-fat Butter Rum Lattes...my fav!

I love the beach and the hunt for treasures like sea glass! I love New York City with every fiber of my being! I love Washington DC for the free museums and getting lost in them. I love the south for the delicious food and fabulous old architecture. I love the Pacific Northwest because I live here and while it does rain a lot, when the sun comes out, there's just no place that is prettier!
