I have just got a new job so I'm off swap-bot for a while until I'm properly settled in. I've sent off all my swaps for now but I'll see you all soon. :) If you need to speak to me, pm me and I'll get back to you at some point - but please don't be cross if it isn't for a while!

I am interested in a vast range of things, including but not limited to (in no particular order):

Modernist Literature - Virginia Woolf, T.S. Eliot being big names here. Basically starts with the First World War and progresses from there.

The 1920s and the Inter-War period - fascinating bit of history. I especially like the Bright Young People set, the jazz music of the time inc. Fred&Ginger musicals, and the fashion.

Tea. Can't beat a good cuppa tea - and I'm always keen to try new ones. Some of my favourites include Ceylon, English Breakfast, Rooibos, spice apple and many of the Twinings fruit range. I would like to try some White Tea, or Green Tea infused with some sort of something extra. I don't like lemon or ginger flavours. Other than that, any new flavours are oh so welcome! I also drink leaf tea, so even if a swap says 'No leaf' I'll still be delighted to get some and won't mark you down...

Travel. I really want to go to Morocco, and pretty much anywhere else you'd care to mention - Russia, Mongolia - oh yes, Japan! I love japanese literature and art, and their history is amazing. Plus, yknow, sushi.

Children's Literary Classics - mostly Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan. I also like Robin Hood, Arthurian legends and general fairy tales.=

Cats - my parents have two, but I'm not allowed one in my rented house. I have a pet snail instead; his name is Sarkozy. Sounds odd, but most of my friends have been converted.

Architecture, (most time periods included) especially bridges. One of my favourite things to do on holiday is just wander around looking at buildings - I enjoy walking anywhere really, along rivers if I can.

Jewellery. This is a recent development. I don't like the sort of plaited or bead jewellery, just (semi) precious. I like silver or white gold with stones, my absolute favourite being opals. It's the way they change colour in the light, the multifaceted beauty ... I also like amethyst, sapphire, emerald and cubic zirconia / diamonds.

I would prefer not to receive anything with religious connotations. I respect other people's beliefs, but I do not share them. I'm not a fan of sports either. I dislike the colour pink.
