My all time favorite movie is The Phantom of the Opera (2004). I first watched it on DVD and fell in love with the story and music. Who knew Anne Hathaway could sing so well! After watching the movie many, many times I was able to see it live in Las Vegas. A little worried it wouldn't be as good as the movie because you don't have all the extra benefits live as you do with film I was completely blown away by the performance.

Other movie topics I enjoy watching are anything supernatural with vampires, werewolves, elves, dragons, Fae, etc.

Whenever I can you will find me with a book in my hand. I love to read and hopefully will pass this along to my children. (yes they already have their own library in their playroom at the ages of 5 & 7) Mostly I love to read historical and romantic novels. Since The Twilight books have come out I have also started reading more supernatural books. While I liked the Twilight books I was not impressed with the movies. I feel our imaginations are so much better than film could ever portray a book and so am always disappointed when a movie comes out that I have already read the book.

All About me: I am a single mother to three wonderful children born 2002, 2006, and 2007 (I would list their ages but thought birth years would be better so I don't have to change my profile every time one of them has a birthday). The oldest two are girls and my youngest is a boy. Only the two little ones live with me currently as my oldest decided to live with her father this past year. They are my joy and I love finding new and creative activities to do with them.

I live in the Washington, DC area but have traveled all over the USA. I would love to travel outside the USA one day. I find that while DC is great in it's cultural with the history; all of its monuments, museums and government I find that each place I have visited offers its own unique culture. I love visiting historical places and seeing how people lived back before technology took over.

I also am a RN working in a Labor and Delivery Unit here in Washington, DC. I work weekends so I can spend the week helping my children with school work and run them to all of their activities (gymnastics and karate). I have been nursing for 10 years and still love it even though it is wearing on my body.

Besides that I wish I had more free time to do crafts so I squeeze it in when I can and am excited about joining Swap bot to meet new friends and learn about new crafts.

I am currently in LOVE with cherry blossoms and anything Asian. They have a unique sense of style and express it so well. I have recently started watching anime and am impressed with the vibrant colors and artistry. I am learning about the Chinese culture as I am dating a Chinese man and am loving it. Other things I love is 50's pin-ups. I was able to do a pin-up shoot a couple of years ago and fell in love with the fun and flirtyness (if that is even a word) of the 50's pin-ups.

Crafts.....I love trying my hand at new things. Recently I have been making scrabble tile pendant necklace's. For my daughter's 7th birthday she had a Monster High theme pool party. I was able to make scrabble tile monster high necklace's as party favor's for all 24 of the kids attending the party and they went fast!

I started my crafting with scrap booking. Unfortunately with 3 kids and working full time I don't have the time it takes to make full scrapbooks any more. I still love taking pictures and hope one day I will have the time to get around to making scrap books for my children.

I also love, love, love taking pictures. My bedroom is decorated in black and white canvas photos I have taken from national monuments all over the US including the Statue of Liberty, Gateway Arch, Mount Rushmore, The Grand Canyon, etc. I am by no means a professional photographer but would love to take some classes and learn how to get better!

Likes: Music- Imagine Dragons, Daughtry, Adele, Three Doors Down, Rihanna, Eminen, The Lumineers, Mumford and Sons, AWOLNATION, Creed, Of Monsters and Men. Style- I like more modern decoration (think Ikea not modern art, lol). Red (more dark red than bright red) and black. I also like the brown/blue combination. I also like antiques which is a hard combination :) Food- I love coffee (starbucks especially!) Mocha, white chocolate, chi, toffee nut, vanilla. Tea- I'm pretty much a plain Lipton tea girl. But lately I have been wanting to try new flavors so anything would be great. Scents (for candles, lotions etc) I love Japanese cherry blossom (from Bath & Body works), fresh linen, anything light scented beachy etc.

Other likes- Hawaiian culture (totems etc), Vintage items; 50's pin-up etc, Middle eastern/Indian clothing and accessories.

Religion- I am not a christian (no offense to those that are) and prefer not to receive any christian related material (I grew up Pentacostal) but I do like learning about other religions ( I am currently looking in Buddhism.

Dislikes: There's not much I don't like. I'm not a fan of country: music or decorations. Food Scents (lotions and candles etc) I'm not a fan of food scented things, I will sometimes get vanilla or coconut scented but not often.

Hello all...I just wanted to send out an update and apologize for any inconvenience in advance. I no longer have a computer so am working off my smartphone and using my work computer when I go to work on the weekends. I promise I will send out my swaps before or on the send date but it may take me a little while to get online to put down I've sent my items or to rate.
