Hi there! I'm Danielle, I'm brand new to swap-bot and excited to get started! I heard about the website through a friend, and she's given me the low-down about how everything operates on here. I might be a newbie but I know how things work. Haha.

For anyone's reference, I understand that it must suck to be "flaked" on, and I will not be getting involved in any swaps I don't plan to follow through with. There seems to be quite a stigma placed on people who are new to the community, like they are expected to flake, and I can assure you that's not how I plan to go about things. I think everyone deserves a chance to prove themselves!

A little about me...I'm 20 years old, living in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I'm originally from Fort Frances, Ontario, Canada, but I moved to Winnipeg a little over a year ago to attend university. I'm a first year psychology major, loving it so far and can't wait to take more classes in my field! I also attended a semester of college for photography courses, but decided that I like photography better as a hobby than a career.

I'm vegetarian, and a huge animal lover. I have a pair of twin chinchillas named Ava and Lilly, and a fluffy little shitzu mix named Jersey back home. I'd have a ton more pets if I could! Haha.

I'm dating an awesome boy named Adam, who is hilarious and never fails to put a smile on my face. We have our ups and downs like any other couple, but at the end of the day he's very special to me, I care about him a lot, and I feel very lucky to have him in my life. =]

In my spare time....well, I don't have a whole lot of spare time. Haha. But when I do, I like to hang out with my friends, watch movies, listen to music, take pictures, read, paint, make jewelry, make cards and other paper crafts (looking forward to trying out ATC's!), blog, bake, and waste a lot of time online...haha.

I think I'll probably keep this updated with what I'm listening to a lot of "right now", because if I list all the music I like, it will take ages. Haha.

Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Manchester Orchestra, Minus the Bear, Metric, and Imogen Heap.

Recommend me some? =]

I have a bit of a reading list that I'm itching to get started on. I can't wait until summertime when I have free time again! Haha.

I'm REALLY loving anything and everything to do with peacock feathers right now, be it the feathers themselves, a feather motif, or just the colour scheme.

I'd really like to get into sewing/cross-stitch/knitting/crochet. Any advice, instructions or supplies would be awesome! I'd also really like to hear any painting tips or tricks you might have to offer!

I have a pretty good sense of humor, and will not be offended easily.

I am an avid tea fanatic, I drink several cups a day! I'd love to try new kinds, or even tried and true classics would do. I think it'd be really neat to try teas from around the world! =]

If you'd like to send something for Ava and Lilly to enjoy, please make sure that any treats or toys are chinchilla safe, first! Thank you! (Plastic is mean to their tummies, but most wood toys are okay!)

Colours: Emerald Green, Peacock Blue/Teal, Eggplant Purple, Red, Cream, Charcoal, Burnt Orange. I really like jewel-tone colours right now. But! I love all colours, and would be happy with anything!

Styles: Victorian, Elegant, Ethereal, Vintage, Earthy...and on the other end of the spectrum, Bright, Funky, Colourful, Prints.
