I have been enjoying Swap-Bot for over four years now and am so glad my co-worker introduced me to it! I love sending cool things to cool people!
I enjoy doing ATCs and I will be looking for those swaps to join as well as book swaps, envie swaps, postcard swaps, crochet swaps and photography swaps. Photography and crochet swaps are currently my faves!! I have a renewed interest in crocheting and have learned a lot of new stitches thanks to the great swaps found here!!
I have made a new and wonderful friend through Swap-Bot. Even though I live in Pennsylvania and she lives in California we text and/or email every day, sharing new ideas and pictures of whatever we are currently working on. Other than meeting her and her family in person, it doesn't get any better than that!
I'm 50 years old and I have been working part-time in our small town's Sporting Goods store for the past 13 years. I am very happily married to my high school sweetheart and am proud to say that we are going on 30 years of marriage! We have 2 great daughters. Our oldest graduated college, got married and is now an Interior Designer in Pittsburgh, PA. Our youngest just graduated from Edinboro University of PA where she did MULTI events on their track team. We LOVED travelling to different towns to watch her awesomeness! She now will be attending Clarion University in Clarion, PA to achieve her Masters degree while she lives at home.
I enjoy being outside, especially when the weather is warm (hot)! I love hiking, tent camping, kayaking, fishing, bird-watching and bird-feeding, geocaching and walking our 4-year-old, Newfoundland/Lab mix dog, named Cache.
I love to read (especially surrounded by my 2 cuddly cats, Melvin and Jay Hay)! I don't really go for romances but do enjoy historical fiction (Gone with the Wind, The Help); comedy, adventure, and animal-related (James Herriot). I download a lot of audiobooks on my ipod and phone. I especially love books narrated by Will Patton! (Thirteen Moons, Nightwoods)
I also enjoy beading, crafting, cooking, doing jigsaw puzzles, crocheting, and latch hooking...anything crafty that releases creative juices!
I love animals! We keep 5 large aquariums in our home as well as one for our local bowling alley! (I also enjoy bowling and am on a women's team and a mixed-couples team.)
I love being outdoors and enjoying nature so I tend to love earthy colors like brown and green. I also love purple and orange!! In swapping though, I will appreciate any color(s),they all are quite beautiful!
I love sea turtles and dragonflies, warm weather and the beach! We have travelled to Puerto Rico for late winter vacations the past couple of years.
I have pierced ears and prefer silver-toned jewelry to match my wedding rings but am not too picky on that issue. I will wear just about any style earring or bracelet or necklace, but, if I'm in a jewelry swap, I would especially like pieces made with natural elements or earthy colors. And, if there's a little something "different" or quirky about it, I will like it even more!
To help those who swap with me, I'd like to use some awesome prompts from a previous swap called "All About Me (1)".
