Hi, I am Anja, * May 1977, from Werder, Germany which is next to Potsdam and close to Berlin. I was born in Potsdam, which is known for its parks and gardens. I am not actively into organized swapping since a long time anymore due to our huge garden keeping me busy and a full-filling job but once in a while it is fun, and I do not want to miss this.
I write letters and cards since I was 8 years old and I love to exchange goodies with friends via mail though. I love swaps and always send out in time. I do swap things via Yahoo and Facebook groups for years now but also not as often as I used to. I love colourful mail since I was a child.
Sadly I lack time to join often but I blend in whenever times allows it.
ebm, industrial, dark techno, electro, gothic, dark wave, indie, rock, new rock, metal, folk, medieval...
I love books, so I will list a very few authors whose books I like. - Kai Meyer, Ben Aaronovich, Jasper Fforde, Sergej Lukianenko, Carlos Castaneda, Paulo Coelho, Wladimir Megre, Christoph Marzi, Neil Gaiman, E.T.A. Hoffmann, E.A. Poe, Sebastian Fitzek, Andreas Eschbach, Charlotte Link, Oscar Wilde, Jussi Adler-Olsen... Books are magical and tend to be good friends for me.
Lord of the rings, Avatar, The fountain, Star Wars, PI, The Science of sleep, Cube, Minority report, Paycheck, A scanner darkly, Austin Powers, What dreams may come, Stardust, Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, Harry Potter, Charlie and the chocolate factory, The constant gardener, Sleepy Hollow, Arizona Dream, Thank you for smoking, Dead man, Powder, Big Fish, Corpse Bride, the Alien movies, Prometheus,...
Game of thrones, Star Trek (old and new), The Walking Dead, Fargo, Black Mirror, Electric Dreams, Doctor Who, South Park, Grimm, Vikings, Dirk Gently, American Gods, American Horror Story, Hanibal, Star Gate, Umbrella Academy, The Preacher, Dark, Bodyhackers ...
painting, drawing, penpalling, making cards, making jewellry
colourful mail, letters, slams, music, movies, long walks outdoors, photography, gardening, nature, permaculture, cooking, shamanism, stones, the elements, elves, angels, fairies, magic, gardens, parks, animals, flowers, trees, herbs, tea, coffee, jewellry, Dawanda, lovely stationeries, paint, colours, the world in general, the beauty in even the smallest things, reading, books, poetry, painting, drawing, crafts, spirituality, weird humour, gothic, spooky things,...
I love quite a lot of things:
I am not into cute characters.
I always send out my swaps but mail losses happen more often these days and I already felt like giving up my beloved mail hobbies. So please send me a message if you did not receive anything from me and we will figure out what to do next (waiting or resending). I swap since the 1990ies, and I started to write letters in the 1980ies, so I know that business.
"The trick is in what one emphasizes. We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves happy. The amount of work is the same." (Carlos Castaneda)
"Look at every path closely and deliberately, then ask ourselves this crucial question: Does this path have a heart? If it does, then the path is good. If it doesn't, it is of no use." (Carlos Castaneda)
"Nothing in this world is a gift. Whatever must be learned must be learned the hard way." (Carlos Castaneda)
"The only thing that is real is the being in you that is going to die." (Carlos Castaneda)
"The basic difference between an ordinary man and a warrior is that a warrior takes everything as a challenge, while an ordinary man takes everything as a blessing or a curse." (Carlos Castaneda)

"The only real valuable thing is intuition." (Albert Einstein)

"The fear of death is the most unjustified of all fears, for there's no risk of accident for someone who's dead." (Albert Einstein)
"The further the spiritual evolution of mankind advances, the more certain it seems to me that the path to genuine religiosity does not lie through the fear of life, and the fear of death, and blind faith, but through striving after rational knowledge." (Albert Einstein)
"A human being is a part of a whole, called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty." (Albert Einstein)
Anybody can become angry--that is easy; but to be angry with the right person, and to the right degree, and at the right time, and for the right purpose, and in the right way--that is not within everybody's power and is not easy. (Aristotle)
Dignity consists not in possessing honors, but in the consciousness that we deserve them. (Aristotle)
It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it. (Aristotle)

All men by nature desire knowledge. (Aristotle)
For the things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them. (Aristotle)
It is possible to fail in many ways...while to succeed is possible only in one way. (Aristotle)
To be conscious that we are perceiving or thinking is to be conscious of our own existence. (Aristotle)
To enjoy the things we ought and to hate the things we ought has the greatest bearing on excellence of character. (Aristotle)
Time crumbles things; everything grows old under the power of Time and is forgotten through the lapse of Time. (Aristotle)
It is the nature of desire not to be satisfied, and most men live only for the gratification of it. (Aristotle)

"I love life...Yeah, I'm sad, but at the same time, I'm really happy that something could make me feel that sad. It's like...It makes me feel alive, you know. It makes me feel human. The only way I could feel this sad now is if I felt something really good before. So I have to take the bad with the good. So I guess what I'm feeling is like a beautiful sadness." (Trey Parker and Matt Stone, South Park, Raisins, 2003)
