Greetings!
I have heard about swap-bot from some postcrossing.com friends, so I decided to give it a try. I just graduated college and have joined thousands of others looking for a job. In the meantime, it leaves me with a lot of free time!
I mostly love exchanging postcards, but will perhaps move on to others once I get the hang of swap-bot.
I also love oddities (think the show oddities) and lean more towards the dark stuff. My favorite store is the Wilde Collection in Houston. I appreciate witchy-stuff, but don't practice it. I am more of a practical non-believer (i'm a Satanist).
My favorite genres are comedy, romantic comedies, some horror, historical, political thrillers, some indies, and feel-goods. I love the occasional terrible movie too, some I feel are underrated.
Some of my favorites are Metropolis, Django Unchained, The King's Speech, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Blazing Saddles, The Pianist.
A lot! older country, alternative, rock, contemporary, big band jazz, easy listening, house, dubstep, techno, classical, black metal, heavy metal
How I met your mother, Community (six seasons and a movie), West Wing, South Park, Shin Chan, House, Futurama, The Simpsons. The Witcher, Atypical, Planet earth.
I love snail mail! I'd rather get a personal letter than bills or ads. I am currently in postcrossing.com and also have some other penpals. I love postcards, cards about holidays (christmas, halloween, etc). Handmade cards are also great, but if you're like me, I don't have much space to hand make cards, so I resort to store-bought. No christian quotes or crosses please!
I like making my own envelopes, writing letters, using stamps. I'm slowly gathering things to start handmaking my own postcards/cards.
Beer brewing, postcards, holiday themed (halloween, st. patrick's day, christmas, etc.), hello kitty, animals (cats in particular, but I also like dogs and other wildlife. No snakes, sorry!). Cultural holidays, cultural landmarks, international relations, history; my style is eclectic, really.
Halloween is my favorite holiday, I also like autumn and any other occult things.
I have found myself joining mostly postcard swaps due to time and $$$ constraints.
If you could do me a favor and please date your card!
I've liked the wide variety of postcards I have gotten so far, so I guess I can list what I don't really like: * snakes, except year of the snake cards * spiders, centipedes, etc. * any biblical references. Churches are OK. - Weird stuff - the occult
