I first saw SWAPS on Flickr.com And had to know what those adorable little bundles of joy were. Once I found out, I had to join. I love collecting (see below), I love giving and I love using the mail. In this day of technology it is so much fun to receive some love in the mail and I love mailing cards and nic nacs to my friends. I enjoy crafting, painting drawing, taking pictures. I love art, and appreciate many forms of creativity. I am a merchandise designer at a garden center and learned to love plants there. I have a cat named Kitten, a guinea pig named Ichabod, a lizard named Moses and lots of houseplants! I am a Girl Scout (Girl Guide), I have been one for 23 years. I like nature, flea markets, antique shops, craft stores, camping, plants, colors and video games.

I am picky about my music. But I feel I have a wide playlist. My favorite band is Radiohead. Just to name a few others: Dave Brubeck, The Panicks, Jimi Hendrix, Spirtualized, Whisper Signal, Sigor Ros, Jeff Buckley, James Brown...I like some gospel, folk and funk.

Pysansky (Ukrainian Eggs), painting, drawing, polymer clay, origami, paper crafts, photo journaling, heirloom photo albums, bead working, some jewelry making, needle work, gardening (I think it can be a craft) found object art. I'll try anything but I am a bad knitter, ha ha.

So I mentioned collecting.... I collect pictures of things I have on a regular basis, i.e. nose bleeds, zinnias, moldy coffee cups, I can't save them, but I can save a picture of them.... I have elaborate collection of art glass. Mostly from the 1940's through 1970's. I stopped buying pieces when I prices went to high. I have an exstensive action figure/toy collection. I have recently concluded that I have been collecting all kinds of things to use as art projects sometime in my life time. Such as, vintage magazines, vintage sewing stuff, advertising, containers, tins, broken jewelry, beads, fabric,unique rubber stamps,pressed fowers, coins, lace, all kinds of ephemera junk, saving postage stamps, I like international items, postcards, news papers, girl scout and girl guide items. My studio, if you can call it that, where I have all my items is filling up fast! I need to swap!
