After an extended break from art 💌 and swapping I'm back.

Life is hard and things are icky at the moment and my brain needs the soothing calm and distraction of creating art for friendly strangers out in the big world

Creating brings me joy, clears my brain and makes my stress a little less sharp.

I'm once again having issues with my post reaching it's destination. Please let me know if you don't receive something! I tend not to hound people for ratings. I know how easily life gets in the way of rating, and don't want to bother someone if they're dealing with more important things.

Please know I hold all my swaps very high in priority and never "NO SEND" anything. That's just not my way. If I'm going to be late, I'll do my best to let you know ahead of the due date. However my life randomly likes to take the wheel and steer me right into a brick wall.

I swap for the joy of swapping, not to rate someone on their artistic skills. I love seeing what others do and make. It makes me HAPPY!

I'm a mom, wife, daughter,sister, friend, and avid pack rat artist. I love finding fun things to use in art and have too many "junk" boxes to even use it all. I've actually started to pare down a bit by letting my artist friends pick over my stashes.

My "real" job is working as a designer for a local family owned metal company. We do metal art silhouettes, signs, and home decor. it's just varied enough to keep my Gemini wanderlust in check. I haven't become bored in this job as much or as quickly as I had in other jobs.

I also sell my miniature fairy doll ornaments on Etsy, as well as a lot of my original artwork. That's more a hobby than a "job". I'd love to eventually get it to the working job point somewhere along the line. (end 2012) I've slowed my swapping quite a bit this year. I miss it terribly, but my other priorities have to take a front seat. I'm hoping in 2013 to swap a bit more regularly. If not I might explode!

(2012) Settling into mommyhood...slightly. I LOVE every minute of watching my little Val grow, but find the crunch time for my creativity a little bit of a bummer. I use my art as an outlet for my stress, depression, or boredom (though boredom hardly ever rears it's ugly head right now) ...without it I get cranky, and a bit uptight.. Ok, I'll say it.. I get BITCHY. So I've been trying to stick a little bit here and there in. Stuff I can do in the wee hours of night, silently so as not to wake the two sleepers. It's taking it's toll though so I will most likely have to slow down. It's barely possible for me to hold down my "real" job, my etsy shop, and mom duties, let alone create.....

I'm totally enamored with Pangolins right now. EEEE so cute! manta/stingrays, aligators,bats,horses, bears, elephants, mice, rats, dolphins, otters, owls, capybara, the purple frog (not just frogs that are purple, dumbo squid, vampire squid, axoloti,

umm...LOTS of animals! there are very few I don't like! :)

Greens, Blues, Purples in various combination. I like most colors really though I'm not a huge fan of oranges. However oranges sometimes work and are needed. Favorite combos, Aqua or Turquoise and Brown, Pinks and Browns, Hot Pinks and Black, Grey and Aqua, Greens and Blues, Reds and Black

I love televison. I don't get to watch like I used to as I'm making healthier life choices (well sometimes) and tend to not sit in front of the "boobtube" anymore.

I'm a discovery channel addict I get the additional channels of discovery, the history channel and those sorts of things and I'm constantly dvr'ing something to watch. I love anything on Egypt, or ancient history

*please no label bags, friendship books, decos or the like unless I specifically sign up for a swap of such things. I have no outlets for stuff like that and would hate to be the end point for someone's hopes and dreams!**

I'm not a fan of sweet treats unless I've signed up for a swap for candy and treats. I do so infrequently.
