Who am I? I ask myself regularly “ Who am I?" I am not sure I have ever really answered that question.

I am a writer and an adventure artist. I live in beautiful Northern California In the heart of what they called the gold country. I love living in the mountains, but I am continually drawn to the ocean.

So when I am home I love to create lovely things.

I am a mom to five lovely children. Four of them are adults, one is in high school. I also have two lovely adult step-daughters.

My husband is a professional chef and our family loves food and spend a lot of time in the kitchen.

We share our home with a crazy cat named Archer and 2 small dogs.

Archer has his own newsletter called "Archer Says".

He loves pen pals and has kitty friends all over the world. He loves reading about other kitties on Swap-Bot and especially loves to know the names of kitties of my swapping partners.

His birthday is April 22nd... He loves mail and tries to write back to his kitty friends =)

Update: Archer has been busy with all his kitty mail. All the fame has gone to his head. He is busy designing his own line of Luxury Cat Toys, but has been known to sneak into the catnip. It might be time to send him to rehab.

I love dioramas and tiny miniature things. I have a doll house that I have turned into a mouse house that my cat likes to try to crawl inside and invade :)

I love to knit. For a while I was obsessed with knitting socks. Lately I have been knitting headbands.

I love sewing- I especially love to repurpose clothing. I enjoy taking something average and making it into something exceptional.

I love to collect and use: old lace and old sewing supplies; such as, buttons, ribbon, ric rac, sewing tools.

I am obsessed with chenille sticks/pipe cleaners. I especially love vintage ones. My family just doesn't understand ;)

I love glitter- especially vintage and unusual glitters- However, I won't send glittery things to people who don't like glitter and will keep glitter to a minimum :)

I love paper- I have been trying to use up my stockpiles and have been fairly successful. For the past three years I have been making origami cranes.

I like to make recycled art- I don't do as much of it as I would like because I am afraid of becoming a hoarder =)

Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons.

I love all colors. My favorite colors are turquoise, periwinkle, and green. However, pink girly things make me very happy.

I like to write and I love quotes and funny or inspirational fortunes from fortune cookies. I keep them in a little book.

I adore holidays and love vintage holiday things, they remind me of happy times growing up.

I love coffee and cream. Life isn't the same without cream.

I love...love... love...Chocolate.

I love cats. I especially love funny cat things. Lately grumpy cat has captured my heart.

I like squirrels, possums and otters.

I love being outside in nature or in the garden. I especially enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature.

I love Pinterest. If it were up to me there would be a few extra hours added to my day so I could pin without guilt =)

I LOVE art supplies. This year I am trying to use up my many stashes.

Bigfoot & Bigfoot hunters crack me up and I secretively watch Bigfoot shows much to my family's shame... They love to make comments... but how could they comment unless they are watching too =)~

I mostly read non-fiction- Cookbooks and How To books and Craft Books.

I love fiction, but when I read it-- the book absorbs me and I can't get anything done, so I limit fiction to about 6 books a year.

My favorite books- The Professor & Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, All of Jane Austen, I love to read British romance novels.

My favorite movies are usually happy movies and comedies, but I like romance or drama if it doesn't have a lot of violence. You've got Mail, Enchanted, The Grinch, Chocolate, The other Sister, Napoleon Dynamite...

I like my postcards Naked & Written On. I also promise to rate the same day I get your swap. I put a lot of love and care into the swaps I send, even postcards get extra attention.
