A little about me...I like to play with my dogs, read, work in my garden, try out new veggie recipes, drink ice tea (love ice tea!), and go out to eat with friends.

I've been a vegetarian on and off for the past fifteen years, and currently I'm on again. I've also practiced yoga on and off for the past fifteen years. Recently I tried Bikram yoga and really like it. It helped with my back pain, so I think I'm going to continue with it.

I'm not really a crafty person but love seeing what others are making. I find it inspiring! I hope to make some new friends and maybe learn a new hobby.

I like "chick flicks" and old musicals. Some of my favorites are Amelie, Little Women (the one with Katherine Hepburn, though the one with Elizabeth Taylor is also good), Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice (BBC version with Colin Firth), The Holiday, Meet Me in St. Louise, and anything with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.

I love the children's books and stories that Louisa May Alcott wrote. I first read Little Women waaaaay back in third grade. I had been sick for some time and when I went back to school, there was a stack of books including Little Women from Scholastic on my desk. I remember looking at the book and thinking it looked boring and being disappointed that it didn't have any pictures :). Over a rainy weekend, I started reading and couldn't put it down. I hope someday to visit Orchard House where Louisa May Alcott wrote and set Little Women.

I also love the Wizard of Oz series. Over the years I have read almost all of the books, but my favorites are the ones written by L. Frank Baum, Ruth Plumly Thompson, and John R. Neill.

Currently I am reading "Cesar's Rules: Your way to Train a Well-Behaved Dog" by Cesar Millan. I'm having some issues with my dogs and trying to find some way to bring things under control. If any of you have had success using his techniques, I would love to hear about it.

I love all types of music. I especially like Patty Griffin, Lucinda Williams, Madonna, M.I.A., Santogold, Adele, and the Dixie Chicks. I also like Maroon 5 and New Kids on the Block. I recently went to the NKOTBSB concert and had a blast!
