About Me

I am a mother to two stunning children and am madly in love with my partner who is my anchor in life.

I live in Lower Hutt, New Zealand, where we are paying our mortgage and getting on with life. I am part Māori and live well with depression, I am naturally the eternal optimist with rose-tinted glasses.

I study buddhism, and try to practice yoga and meditate everyday (Try been the operative word!).

I have university degrees and a natural predilection towards social justice and indigenous issues, neither of which I am currently using gainfully. :)

I have recently refound art and creativity and how important art and the creative process is to me. I love making ATCs and extending my skills.

My cards are mainly hand drawn or painted with a mixed media bent. Usually this will include a mix of some of the following: * Graphite * Clear Gesso * Prismacolor colored pencils * Fluid Acrylics * Acrylic Mediums * Gold leaf * Wax * Mica Powders * Watercolours * Neocolor II's * Ink * Collage ephemera, papers, materials, lace etc

I give this list as a guide to who I am not as a shopping list....rather than just say I am a crafty arty farty greenie hippyish type who loves to discuss politics and religion because though I have my own strongish opinions I respect others to have theirs and am genuinely interested in what people think, and I love art supplies, baking, cooking, sewing and knitting socks...LOL (which I have just done! :))

Things I don't like

There is not really much that I truly don't like...

Only birds that I can think of, I am terrified of sparrows.
