Hello! I live in the Seattle area of Washington with my husband, son and 2 cats.
I love coffee shops and writing letters or journalling. Lucky I live in a town obsessed with coffee. I'd love some pen pals from all over who might enjoy long letters about nothing in particular, send me a message if thats you :D
Mostly I am a homemaker which means personal assistant these days. I am the rememberer of the family. Sometimes I dog sit for crafty money and to get out of the house.
I love everything about fall. I love the change in the weather, the pops of red in the trees. I love walking in the crisp cool air. I love seeing the squirrels working hard to bury their acorns. I love to curl up with a good book and a cup of tea.
Most aspects of my life are touched by video games. My husband is a game designer, my son was named to have video game initials, my husband and I met while working at a video game company. Currently I play Stardew Valley and World of Warcraft (probably more than I should).
Also, I would like to apologize for my cryptic username. Swap-bot told me over 50 of the names I tried were taken and I think it was just broken that day.
Mail: I will mark sent when I hand the mail over to the post office, my mail carrier or put it in the USPS blue mailbox. If I don't do it then I will forget but there could be a day delay in the postmark.
I have a PO box and I check it often, but if you are concerned that I should have received and rated the swap please let me know and I will hustle down there and check :D
I have a love-hate relationship with food.
I love food. I love the social aspect of a meal with friends.
I really love cheese but my body hates cheese. I eat it anyway.
About 8 years ago I was diagnosed with Celiacs Disease, so eating wheat causes my body to attack itself. I love bread and my body really hates bread.
I love trying to recreate my favorite foods gluten and dairy free (I fail a lot at the dairy free because cheese... am I right?!?!)
I read a lot... well I try to read a lot. This year I have been doing a challenge through my library to read 10 books I might not otherwise read. I say that because I'm not sure what to say is my favorite.
My favorite book of all is Charlotte Sometimes. This is a book I read again and enjoy it more.
I read suspense and humor and historical fiction and and and... really I will give anything a try.
I love to watch documentary style shows. Whatever is on when I have some time.
Shows I make time to watch are: Genius, Masterpiece Theater and anything by Ken Burns.
My Netflix list is ridiculously long. I like to watch while I sew or do other crafty things but there is always something new to add to my watch list and not enough time to watch them.
My favorite show of all time is the Gilmore Girls. I re-watch it from the beginning every fall while I make gifts.
Moulin Rouge, Love Actually, Minions, Greatest Showman, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter.
Totoro! I keep looking for him but I never find him.
Honestly, I love a lot of movies. I love the ones that make me laugh or cry, cover my eyes or want to sing. I try to see as many as possible.
This is very hard too. I love lots of music. I listen to jazz and punk, Elvis and Eminem. I love music.
My main craft is sewing. I like to make bags and quilts. I try to make all my gifts for people and sewing is the quick and easy thing for me.
A few years ago we had a tree fall in our house and we were put in a temp apartment. All my craft supplies were put in storage. It was a hard time but I picked up a pen and started journaling. The home repairs are done and I am still writing daily. I love it.
I really do love to sit and drink coffee and write letters. I have a few little cousins as penpals which is adorable.
I love fountain pens and ink. This is also new for me and I think I have a problem. I can't get enough.
I play with watercolors but mostly I seem to make blobs of pretty colors and thats ok.
