Update - I'm back! I have a new address, finally, after 4 months of living in the motorhome.
I'm Debbie, a retired bookmobile driver, living with my husband on 43 acres in the Ozarks, and enjoying life. We have two married children, 4 grandsons, and two granddaughters who keep us pretty busy. We prefer to attend a traditional church with piano, organ, and hymns - I love the old ways.
I collect antiques and fountain pens, and I have way too many hobbies. My husband and I travel frequently, on cruise ships or in our motorhome. We both like camping, hiking, kayaking, antique and thrift stores, singing and playing instruments.
I pride myself on being prompt, so please let me know if a swap does not reach you in a timely manner. Also, please tell me if I make a mistake in fulfilling the requirements of a swap, and I will be happy to make it right.
Currently, my favorite craft is making ATCs, especially hand-painted or collage. I put a lot of time and effort into making them, because I love doing it. I'm open to private ATC trades as well, if you have some that you've worked really hard on and want to get something worthwhile in exchange.
I'm also into spinning, weaving, knitting, sewing, crocheting, paper crafts, watercolor, oil painting, journaling, letter writing, beadwork and jewelry making, and more!
I always say that I don't want to start any new crafts, but that never works...
I like many kinds of music, especially if I can sing it. I especially like classical, folk, classic rock, bluegrass, hymns, and even some opera. I sing and play ukulele at a local weekly jam session .
I don't like heavy metal, rap, or modern country music.
Likes: I'm old fashioned (and old, too), and I love anything vintage or antique. Fancy stationery, fountain pens and inks, vintage postage stamps, and old postcards are some of my favorite things. I love all the Victorian colors - rose, cream, gold, dark/dusty greens, blues, purples, browns and grays, and black. My favorite animals are cats of all kinds. I also like everything Japanese, especially the more traditional styles of art and fashion. I love tea, coffee, and chocolate - all kinds. I have no allergies (Yay!) and I'm not terribly picky, either.
Dislikes: I'll happily accept any swaps that meet the requirements, but I'm not a fan of neon colors, glitter, graffiti-style art, etc. And definitely no profanity - that will go straight into the trash. I'm not a fan of anything creepy or occult, either.
Anything Tim Holtz - especially embellishments
Small flattish embellishments that I can use on ATCs - I'm having a hard time finding them around here!
Tiny (1/2" or so) paper or silk flowers
Old maps or pieces of them
Genuine vintage ephemera
Old paper of all sorts
Planner stuff - I'm using a personal sized Filofax ring planner.
Anything Snoopy or Pusheen
I've seen this on several other profiles and thought it was cool -
I'm not too picky - any size from 3x5" to 6x9" is fine. I like anything vintage style, shabby chic, Victorian, etc. I prefer muted dusty colors and earth tones - no neons or super brights.
