Enter The Haggis, Marwood, Great Big Sea...
I love music in general, I don't think there's anything out there I DON'T like, but currently I seem to be on a Celtic/Folk rock kick.
LOVE ME SOME BAGPIPES!
I also thoroughly enjoy mashups.
Anything with words!!! I LOVE to read! History, True crime, alternative history, historical fiction, pretty much anything...
Ok, so after re-reading that I see how truly narrow it is...
But seriously, I never met a book I didn't like.
Strange Brew, UP, Princess Bride, Man from Snowy River
I don't watch many movies, but I've been known to throw Strange Brew parties where everyone gets a hand-knitted tuque....
I don't watch television. But when I did, I was a big fan of The Office, Rescue Me and Deadliest Catch. I have a soft spot for all things British tv, adore the Tenth Doctor, and have recently been introduced to Torchwood.
I am deeply in lust with Captain Jack Harkness.
I am an avid knitter, novice quilter and occasional crochet-er. My girls and I craft constantly. The love foamies and glitter. Unfortunately, so does our dachshund.
I love to sew for my girls, and their dollies. We also build tree forts, but I'm not sure if this qualifies as a craft.
If I could legally marry my power tools, I would.
I dye my own yarn, am currently obsessed with knitting socks, and am on a quest for the perfect emerald green variegated sock yarn.
I love knitting quirky things. Recent creations: a tool belt, felted kidney, matching thong and pasties.
I am a single mother of two amazing little girls, ages 8 and 4. They keep me on my toes, and never cease to amaze me with their boundless exuberance and quirky insights.
A native of Washington, DC; I have recently relocated to Appalachia in search of a fresh start.
I have returned to college after a long absence, and I am having the time of my life!!! I will be entering my junior year in the Fall of 2009. I am double majoring in History and Classics, with a concentration in Latin.
