Hello There!

My name is Amanda! I am never really sure what to write in these boxes, but quickly about me.... I am a university student majoring in Computer Science but I absolutely love being creative. I love working with all materials but I especially love fabric and paper. I have been crafting since before I can remember and quilting has become my passion over the past 6 years or so...

I love traveling and driving and I always aim to try new things. Music is also very important to me and musicals are just so much fun. Some of my favorites are Rent, Wicked and Spring Awakening.

I guess that is the basic outline of me... if you have any other questions feel free to ask! :-)

I like so many types of music a shorter list would be what I didn't like. I am not a huge fan of country... although I can live with a little Johnny Cash every now and then.

Like I said, I love musicals... so much so I named my cat Fiyero after a character in Wicked!

I love doo-wop, pop, rock, soft rock, rap, oldies... everything... I always seem to get obsessed with certain songs that stick in my head for a day :-P

Reading has always been an adventure to me and many times when I was a kid.... and even now... I would prefer to read a good book rather than almost anything else! :-P

I just finished a phenomenal book called 'The Crimson Petal and the White' but just a few of my other favorites include 'The Decameron' , 'The DaVinci Code' , 'Persepolis', 'Little Women', anything by Tolkien, any type of historical fiction... and so many others that I can't put my finger on right this moment!

I will watch almost anything except Groundhog Day, Tremors, and Twister....

I love going to see new movies but if I had to pick just one that I absolutely couldn't live without it would be Baz Lurhmans rendition of Romeo and Juliet... Moulin Rouge is equally fantastic...

Most recently I have been getting into Quentin Terentino... 'Inglorious Bastards' ... wicked good!

I am very into 'British humor'... Little Britain is great...as is Keeping up Appearances. Dr. Who, Black Adder, Monty Python... priceless!

I also enjoy 'historical' dramas such as the Tudors, Rome, I was pleasantly surprised by Spartacus...

Occasionally I just like to veg. out and relax with mindless but ever so chuckle worthy shows such as Family Guy and Futurama.

ahhh! Crafting!

I love doing anything with Fabric or Paper. I embroider, knit, crochet, quilt, fold, draw, glue...

I have been known to work a little in creating jewlery... and recently I have been really enjoying photography and working with my pictures/ making scrap books.
