Hi, my name is Letizia.
I live near Mantova, a small peaceful city in the north of Italy and a little historical and artistic gem surrounded by the waters. Currently I work in Verona, which you probably know because of Shakespeare’s play “Romeo and Julietâ€. There’s always been a rivalry between Mantova and Verona, but a piece of my heart lies in the latter nonetheless.
I’m a curious person and I love learning new stuff and especially like people who know something I don’t know or can do something I can’t, for example the name of an exotic flower or how to fly a plane. Being the curious person I am, I love travels (both real and through books/tv): different countries and languages, different scenaries, different food, different styles - the more different from mine, the better it is. That is probably the reason why I studied foreign languages: English, French and Russian for now. I'm planning to add Japanese and Spanish in the near future.
Colors make me incredibly happy; I could stare at a painting or play with crayons for hours. I’m completely in love with Vincent Van Gogh. Besides my brother and my cousin, he’s my favorite human being, despite the fact that he’s been dead for almost 130 years. If I ever become rich in the future, I’ll do anything to acquire at least one of his paintings.
I’m a vintage lover. Anything old or even ancient fascinates me beyond measure. Really old movies or photos have a charm that the newer ones do not have. If time travels were real, I’d like to live during the Belle époque for a few months and during the Roaring 20s for a few more months. And I’d like to meet Julius Caesar.
I've been a collector most of my life: I collect perfumes, foreign currency, postcards and small funny/unusual sugar packets.
My childhood dream is to stand face to face with Tutankhamun’s mask. My teenage dream is to visit Prague. My adult dream is to travel to the Moon. My ultimate dream is to touch Vincent’s “Sunflowersâ€, without being arrested.
I hate with all my heart Hallo Kitty. I prefer dogs over cats, even though I own a few of the latter. I absolutely love butterflies and dragonflies. Living in the country made me love almost any kind of flowers and trees, especially sunflowers, dahlias and poplars. I have no allergies whatsoever, but I really really dislike cucumbers - just the smell makes me sick. On the other hand I adore anything citrusy, peachy, minty or licorice-flavored.
I like pretty much every kind of music, with the exception of electronic-only music and really screamy songs. Violinists are cool, but pianists and cellists are cooler.
My favorite authors are (in no particular order): Plath, Dickinson, Shackespeare, Pirandello, Achmaotva, Bryson, Leopardi, Manzoni, Blake, Calvino, Blok, Diamond.

Thank you for the nice postcard you sent to me at postcard roulette january 2018. I hope you'll visit Israel one day. We live in a small, but beautiful country. <3
