Hi,

I used to work in the fashion industry and love clothing, design and Art. I do a lot of volunteering for my local Women's Board and the Meausem of Oakland. I love vintage apparel! Anything from the 1920's - 1940's. I go to a lot of Art Deco society events, and other events where my boyfriend and I can dress up in period clothing. I'm learning how to sew and paint (acrylic on canvas). I know how to cross stitch. I just want to do arts & crafts all day!

I love nerdy/geeky movies like Star Wars, Doctor Who (10, 11 & 12 are my favorite), Marvel movies, Disney movies, and I can't wait for the new Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Beauty and the Beast movies to come out!

I go through phases where I love to cook and then love eating out. I am lactose intolerant, but that's the only food allergy. And there are pills I take for that so I can still eat a small amount of dairy. I will play through the pain for cheese. It's delicious! When it comes to snacking I like salty or sweet snacks the best. Something that is both salty & sweet is REALLY good. I hate the following flavors: black liquorish, ginger, wasabi, and cinnamon-candy. Other than these flavors, I'm not picky! I have a low tolerance for spicy/hot or chili based foods.

My hobbies include: painting (my grandmother is an artist and I'm trying to learn from her), reading (favorite genres include Young Adult, fiction (bestsellers), sci-fi / fantasy (bestsellers), classic novels), music (I have an eclectic taste...pretty much everything except country music), movies and crafting. I'm looking for swaps that help motivate me to be creative with my supplies.

My friend/roommate told me about this site and highly recommended it. I think the structure of this site and swapping process is what I'm looking for. I've participated in 3 Reddit Swaps recently under the username JESUIS_PREST: Star Wars, Books & Snacks.
