Update 7/25/18 - Except for occasional swap series that I've already committed to, I'm taking a Swap-bot break after mail mishaps during my work travel that have resulted in down ratings which isn't fun for any of us. I am behind on ratings but should be up to date soon. Thanks for your patience!
A few of you have found your way over to my Etsy shop, so I thought Iโd set up some coupons just for you! Hereโs the first one:
Swap-bot 10% Discount any purchase
And another: Swap-bot 15% discount on $30 or more
Lately I've gotten some fantastic mail with multiple different postage stamps on it - I love this! If you have random stamps that need a home, put them on my envelope!
See info at the bottom of my profile for outgoing WISHLISTS and TAGS.
I am a well-traveled professional in international health and I love to knit. You will never catch me without at least an emergency sock knitting project in my purse, and usually a shawl in my computer bag. I am from the northeastern US and have lived in the west as well as the south. This swapping experiment is probably an excuse for me to further indulge my love of paper, stamps, stickers, postcards, and possibly to discover new loves (washi???).
Knitting - I knit socks, scarves, shawls, and sweaters. I love most types of wool and most any colors, including un-dyed, and anything involving silk! I stay away from man-made fibers and usually don't knit with cotton, though occasionally with hemp. Knitting is my one true love! My favorite things to knit are one-skein shawls or socks from tonal solids, and I love lace and texture.
Collage - I am out of the habit, but I did collage with wild abandon in my younger days, and have been recently inspired by @bluehairedmary showing me some of her ATCs.
Sewing - My ambitions run bigger than my ability to complete projects, but I have many small patchwork projects in mind, and may be able to use that inspiration for ATCs as well. I also occasionally sew garments I can actually wear.
Since joining Swap-bot, I discovered that I like making mini flip books, and I make tons of handmade envies.
I don't own a TV anymore but I watch mainly through Amazon, and have been enjoying British period drama and mystery shows lately. Whenever I am with TV-owning friends, we seem to watch a lot of home improvement, which is a nice break! I am generally a fan of any well-presented drama and tend to binge-watch.
I prefer coffee to tea, but I participate in tea swaps now and again. I like black tea, herbal (mint, lavender, lemongrass), berry, citrus, and hibiscus, don't like green tea as much though I just found one with lemongrass that I like, and do not like Earl Grey. But I love Lady Grey!
CURRENT: The Cuban Affair. My book tastes lately have run to readable non-fiction, and I especially like explorations of science, culture, or religion (e.g., Neil DeGrasse Tyson, or The Year of Living Biblically). I also like some historical fiction, some contemporary fiction, and some sci-fi/fantasy, though my exposure to those is not very broad, so I'd like to explore more! I have never read any Harry Potter book, but I plan to one day... Recent reads include Neil Gaiman, American Gods; Chang-Rae Lee, On Such a Full Sea; Erin Straub, The Vacationers; Annie Proulx: Barkskins. I unexpectedly enjoyed Outlander and subsequently read the entire series, and have watched a few of the TV episodes.

Lately I've joined a few Profile-Based swaps, so here are some ideas!
Knitting: sock weight yarn in as much % wool as possible, kettle-dyed or tonal (though I appreciate a good speckle, neon is fine!). I use this type of yarn for socks and shawls.
Kitchen: I love swedish dishcloths, and I've noticed on Amazon that some people comment that some are made in Sweden and others in China. I'm not sure I care, but FYI. I love nautical, mid century modern, and sheep / wool / knitting themes.
Kawaii: I put a bunch of stationery and washi ideas in my Etsy favorites, listed above.
Postalettes / fold-and-mail letters: I love vintage, boygirlparty (or similar), retro/mod, kawaii.
