About Me
Hello! I'm a retired teacher that lives in a large cultural and historical city, but I've also spent a lot of time in the country. I enjoy having the best of both worlds. I've been an avid letter writer with pen pals for more than 40 years. I also enjoy exchanging cards for the holidays and birthdays.
I like nature photography and traveling the backroads to small towns to see something new, reading and discussing books, movies, 80s music, animals (dogs, foxes, wolves, hawks, owls, llamas), pets (rescue dog) history, science, culture, gardening, mysteries, ghost stories and the unexplained, abandoned places, historical places, natural health, crafting, traveling, walking in the woods, spending time in deserts and the ocean, storms, relaxation, museums, galleries, murals, cafes, iced coffee, true crime stories and much more. I enjoy staying young and active, visiting places and attending events around my city.

My name is Jan and I am your partner for the "easy comment" swap! I hope you are doing great! I feel like I am writing to you in your "future" here cause well its Monday and I am experiencing the sunny sun shining brightly in the middle of the afternoon here! Haha!
Firstly... WOW! You actually write 6 - 7 pages to your penpal? That is pretty nice! I mean in a "modern" day like this, no one bothers to hand-write letters anymore... let alone greeting cards and even Postcards! I actually find it hard to find touristy PCs from my country but when I do, I'll buy a lot! I love that we can actually interact with someone who has the same interest as us from all around the worrrrld! That is interesting to me! And I am sure for you too! Do you happen to have a penpal from Singapore though? Or somewhere in Asia? Also, if I can ask you... do you meet up with your penpals in person? Just thought I'd ask, cause it seems intriguing.
