I'm a 24 year old female living in Toronto, Ontario with my boyfriend of 6 years and our two lovely cats, Meg and Redford. This community sounds awesome! I love to give and receive little gifts and snail mail and it would be great to do this with so many like-minded others! I hope to get in touch with others who share my quirky sense of humour and with whom I can swap lots of interesting things... I'm a sucker for crafts, postcards, candy, weird little objects and long, handwritten letters. Basically, whatever you want to send me, I'm cool with. I love food and cooking, so connecting with some recipe swaps and things of that nature would be fantastic.
Since I just joined, I would really appreciate it if you all would give me hints, tips and any important information you think I should know about the whole swapping thing. Thanks, and I hope to talk to you soon :)

Hello, Welcome to my swap, Vintage Advertisement ATC...Enjoy !
Hello! I am your partner for the Useless Facts PC swap. I have just finished up your PC and will be posting it tomorrow on the way to work. It will take 2 or so weeks to get to you. Happy Swapping!
Hi there! I stumbled across your profile as part of the Read my Profile and Leave a Nice Comment swap. We sound a lot alike. I'm 23 yo, I've been with my husband for almost 5 1/2 years (our first date was March 26, 2005, when was yours?), and we have two cats!
You have a great and diverse taste in music. Do you have a last.fm account? It's a great website that tracks the music you listen to.
Hi, I am new to swap-bot too and loving it so far. I really like food too and hopefully will join a recipe swap sometime soon too- new recipes are always so nice to have! I also love tea too and my favorite is Earl Grey- can't start my morning without it. I've already joined some tea swaps and I have received some fantastic tea already.
We also have a love of postcards in common. I am so happy to find this community because my friends aren't big on sending postcards even though I love to receive them. Postcrossing is another neat site to check out too.
Thanks for the nice comment on my profile. I find that you and I have many things in common. I love wine!!! You crack me up when you say that you love Bacon. Have you seen all of those T-shirts and everything else that have bacon on them? I even saw pencils that look like bacon!! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
Hi! What a great profile! :) You've got lots of info for your future partners. The biggest tip I can give you is that this is very addictive so make sure you don't get overwhelmed and shipping can get expensive on international--so make sure it's really something you want to spend on!
The people here are friendly and crafty and probably most of us have been flaked on, but overall, people here really want to have a good time and trade great things, so don't be scared. Reading what the swap is about and who is allowed in, helps out. Since you're a newbie, you'll want to look for new swaps and join some groups that are for newbies to get some mailings under your belt. Newbie status won't last long if you get as addicted as I did!
Have fun! You'll get some really amazing things!
