I'm a sucker for late 90s/early 00s radio pop or anything nostalgic from when I was a kid and would listen to the radio all the time. Also Darren Hayes, Savage Garden, The Goo Goo Dolls, Coldplay, SR-71, Jack's Mannequin, Jason Mraz, Arashi, Little Boots, Bon Jovi, Paula Abdul, Roxette, The Blanks, Shania Twain.

Doctor Who, Firefly, Battlestar Galactica (I'm game for most Sci-Fi that I'm exposed to), Arrested Development, The Big Bang Theory, Mythbusters, Dead Like Me, a variety of science shows especially ones about astronomy.

Lately with Netflix I've been on an alien kick watching Ancient Aliens and Roswell.

I can't think of a fluid way to tell you about myself in paragraphs, so I guess I'll cop out and use bullets for now to tell you a few things you should know:

• I work as an assistant at a childcare center.
• I have an appreciation for all things geek (except I don't know a damn thing about super heroes and comic books but recognize that Batman is superior).
• I'm smarter than the average "ursa" at knowing the names of constellations and stars.
• I love science and nature, especially astronomy, insects, dinosaurs, plants, rocks, birds...pretty much anything.

• A friend recently helped diagnose me as "A.D.S."... "Attention Def- Squirrel". Literally. Few things can cause me to lose focus in a conversation as much as catching sight of a squirrel out of the corner of my eye.

• A few other things that I adore are: Cupcakes, cherries, ribbon, stickers, anything celestial, owls, cats, rockets, mythology, Converse.

I'm very new to the world of swapping. My roommate has been an avid swapper and pen-paller for quite some time and is always getting fun things in the mail. I've never been much for writing and am notoriously bad at responding to emails, but I decided to give it a try...starting out small with postcards.

I am finding it quite a fun and rewarding experience and am even starting to feel a little disappointed when I've written all my cards and have none left to do!

Another thing I'm looking forward to is swapping ribbon. I love to collect ribbon and have all kinds in different designs. I can't wait to share what I have with others and also expand my own collection!

Colors that I'm fond of are deep purple, deep red (not so much bright red), and almost anything contrasted with black (especially red, purple, white, pink). I also enjoy bright fun patterns, polka dots, argyles.
