I'm on a swap hiatus at the moment (as of May 2015), but if you need to get in touch with me, send a message, as I will still be reading and answering those.
In 2015, I plan to make a flower every day, or at least, I will do something creative that involves a flower, whether it's a paper flower, a card with a flower stamped on it, or a painting. If you have any flower shaped punches or die cuts, I could certainly use them, as well as stamped images or anything like that- even pictures of flowers from magazines would help. If you want to see the results, check out my Facebook page or my blog at the links above!
I'm also making a Doctor Who themed art journal, junk journal, smash book thing so anything Doctor Who would be greatly appreciated!
It would be so awesome if you could send my swaps using Harry Potter stamps (in the US) or Doctor Who stamps if you're in the UK. Or if you have received them in the mail, I would love to have the cancelled stamps. Thanks!
I'm in my late thirties and have been married to my best friend since 2000. I don't have any children, but I do have a rat terrier named Annabelle Dangermouse. I don't currently have a job, but I do a lot of volunteer work.
I have a tendency to swap in spurts. I might join a bunch of swaps one month and then nothing for six months or more. This is because I will never join a swap if I am not absolutely sure that I have the time and money to complete it properly. Even when I'm not swapping, I still check my messages so if there is a problem with a swap, please let me know so we can fix it as soon as possible.
My main art and/ or crafts are art journaling and mixed media type things. I make and collect ATCs and I've just started with rolos (rolodex cards). I also collect inchies, but for some reason, I rarely make them.
I've tried most paper crafts you can think of, including rubber stamping, card making, and scrapbooking, although I don't do them much anymore. I have done Project Life in the past, but I didn't really enjoy it. I'm trying something different this year.
In the past I've done beading/ jewelry making, polymer clay, and cross-stitching, but it's been a while.
I can sort of knit, but not particularly well. I've made lots of scarfs, but that's about it.
I enjoy many different types of music, but my favorite is probably 70's/ 80's rock.
I read. A lot. Anything and everything I can get my hands on.
I'm a big Harry Potter fan. I definitely prefer the books to the movies.
My current favorite series is the Mary Russell/ Sherlock Holmes mysteries series by Laurie R King.
I am also enjoying the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon.
Favorite current TV shows: Doctor Who, Sherlock, Downton Abbey, Big Bang Theory, NCIS, and I used to watch Glee, but I lost interest in the third season.
Past shows I like: Friends, ER, Firefly, Charmed before it got too weird, How I Met Your Mother, The Office (British and US versions).
I'm currently collecting fortune cookie fortunes, so if you have any to send, that would be awesome!
I can always use art and craft supplies: stickers, paper (even scraps), rubber stamps, pens, markers, embellishments, paint, ink, pretty much anything.
I like office/ school supplies: pens, paper, stationery, notebooks, post-its, memo pads, markers, etc.
Journals of any shape and size
I love paper and ephemera, especially if it is in a language other than English.
I'm a huge Harry Potter fan. And Doctor Who. And BBC Sherlock.
Animals - frogs, monkeys, giraffes, zebras, hedgehogs, butterflies. I love zebra or giraffe print on anything
Colors - blue, purple, and brown (although I like most any color, those are my favorites) Least favorite color is pink.
Food/ beverages - I don't have any food allergies for you to worry about. I prefer cocoa/ hot chocolate and coffee to tea, but I mostly drink Dr Pepper. I have a K-cup coffee maker, but can use regular coffee as well. I hate black licorice, but red is ok. Candy, chewing gum, and chocolate are all good. My favorite candies are SweeTarts and Rolos. Please be aware that I live in the southern USA, so sending anything that could melt isn't a good idea in the summer. One thing I would love to have that I can't seem to find any more is Spicy Guacamole flavored Pringles. If you have them in your area, please send me a message and maybe we can arrange a private swap or something.
I've collected postcards for years, any type: old, new, blank, written to me or to others.
I also collect smooshed pennies (where you put a penny in a machine and it stretches the penny and puts a picture on it). I think they're called elongated pennies (or coins) or souvenir pennies, but I've always called them smooshed.
Keychains, bookmarks, other trinkets are all good.
Anything related to the TV shows listed above would be great.
I like kawaii, mostly cupcakes and other food, especially food with faces. I also like Hello Kitty, Keroppi, and Chococat. I think those are all Sanrio characters, but I really don't know anything about different companies.
I love washi tape and other decorative tape.
I collect coke reward points. They can be found under caps and inside cases of Coca Cola products.
I like "cute" stuff as well as more serious "realistic" type things. I also like odd, really weird things. I have a strange sense of humor. I am intrigued by steampunk.
I like weird socks, but since I have big feet (US woman's size 10), most "novelty" socks are a bit too small for me. I was surprised to find out recently that the socks from the Dollar Tree fit me pretty well.
I would love to receive anything handmade. I love to see other people's art.
Other things I like: flowers, especially daisies and sunflowers; British things; Asian themed things; Halloween (the holiday); crosswords and other puzzles, shoes ( I have a huge collection of porcelain shoes).
I know this is kind of a long list, but don't feel you have to stick to it. I'm not picky. If I don't like or can't use what you send, I'll find someone who will.
If you have any questions, feel free to message me.
I'm not very much into sports (playing or watching). I played trumpet and cornet in marching and concert bands all through school. I've just recently started playing again after many years. This past Christmas, I bought myself a blue pocket trumpet and I love it! Isn't it pretty?
