I am a newbie in the blogging community although I have been reading crafting blogs for a very long time. Swaps intrigue me! I really want to play, and learn the ropes. Teach me please!

I am a paper crafter. I just love the thought of making a card with my own design and someone giving it away to make someone happy!

I used to scrapbook (didn't everyone?) but I stopped Scrapping many years ago as my boys grew up, and now my studio time is spent on handmade greeting cards.

Speaking of my studio, it is plumb full of great embellishments, ribbons, paper, brads, patterns, eyelets, buttons, ideas, and stamps to share, so help me get started in this Swap World!

I also like to create altered books. Funny thing is, I have made 5 or 6 complete Altered Books and have given them all away. After about a week or so, an "owner" comes to mind and the book starts to be about them instead of me. I kind of like this, actually.

I love all things Victorian, and this shows through in my crafting style. Ephemera is extremely cool to me so if you would like to tuck a little piece into a swap I would be forever grateful!

I guess my favorite colors have also evolved over the years. It used to be that green was my fav, but since I am sliding into the vintage side of crafting, I lean toward warmer colors like browns, deep reds, burnt orange, etc. If it is a color that falls off a tree in the Mid-west in the fall, I like it.

I like to collage, so scraps of paper and lace are precious. As you can tell from my blog, ribbons are a big part of my life, and no little bit goes to waste. That is how I got my nickname, Bitsy, as a matter of fact.

I have two grown sons, a big ole lazy dog, and a cat named Bear who truly thinks he owns the house. His current weight is about 16 pounds. He does exercise, twice daily. He gets of the couch, walks across the living room, and slowly crawls onto the chair where he will sleep until dinnertime. Repeat.
